New English Translation (NET)
Version
Psalm 22:25-31

25 You are the reason I offer praise[a] in the great assembly;
I will fulfill my promises before the Lord’s loyal followers.[b]
26 Let the oppressed eat and be filled.[c]
Let those who seek his help praise the Lord.
May you[d] live forever!
27 Let all the people of the earth acknowledge the Lord and turn to him.[e]
Let all the nations[f] worship you.[g]
28 For the Lord is king[h]
and rules over the nations.
29 All the thriving people[i] of the earth will join the celebration and worship;[j]
all those who are descending into the grave[k] will bow before him,
including those who cannot preserve their lives.[l]
30 A whole generation[m] will serve him;
they will tell the next generation about the Lord.[n]
31 They will come and tell about his saving deeds;[o]
they will tell a future generation what he has accomplished.[p]

Amos 8:11-13

11 Be certain of this,[a] the time is[b] coming,” says the Sovereign Lord,
“when I will send a famine through the land—
not a shortage of food or water
but an end to divine revelation.[c]
12 People[d] will stagger from sea to sea,[e]
and from the north around to the east.
They will wander about looking for a message from the Lord,
but they will not find any.[f]
13 In that day your[g] beautiful young women[h] and your[i] young men will faint from thirst.[j]

Acts 8:9-25

Now in that city was a man named Simon, who had been practicing magic[a] and amazing the people of Samaria, claiming to be someone great. 10 All the people,[b] from the least to the greatest, paid close attention to him, saying, “This man is the power of God that is called ‘Great.’”[c] 11 And they paid close attention to him because he had amazed them for a long time with his magic. 12 But when they believed Philip as he was proclaiming the good news about the kingdom of God[d] and the name of Jesus Christ,[e] they began to be baptized,[f] both men and women. 13 Even Simon himself believed, and after he was baptized, he stayed close to[g] Philip constantly, and when he saw the signs and great miracles that were occurring, he was amazed.[h]

14 Now when the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word[i] of God, they sent[j] Peter and John to them. 15 These two[k] went down and prayed for them so that they would receive the Holy Spirit. 16 (For the Spirit[l] had not yet come upon[m] any of them, but they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)[n] 17 Then Peter and John placed their hands on the Samaritans,[o] and they received the Holy Spirit.[p]

18 Now Simon, when he saw that the Spirit[q] was given through the laying on of the apostles’ hands, offered them money, 19 saying, “Give me this power[r] too, so that everyone I place my hands on may receive the Holy Spirit.” 20 But Peter said to him, “May your silver perish with you,[s] because you thought you could acquire[t] God’s gift with money! 21 You have no share or part[u] in this matter[v] because your heart is not right before God! 22 Therefore repent of this wickedness of yours, and pray to the Lord[w] that he may perhaps forgive you for the intent of your heart.[x] 23 For I see that you are bitterly envious[y] and in bondage to sin.” 24 But Simon replied,[z] “You pray to the Lord for me so that nothing of what you have said may happen to[aa] me.”

25 So after Peter and John[ab] had solemnly testified[ac] and spoken the word of the Lord,[ad] they started back to Jerusalem, proclaiming[ae] the good news to many Samaritan villages[af] as they went.[ag]
