Version
Psalm 148

The Whole Creation Invoked to Praise the Lord.

148 [a]Praise [b]the Lord!
Praise the Lord (A)from the heavens;
Praise Him (B)in the heights!
Praise Him, (C)all His angels;
Praise Him, (D)all His hosts!
Praise Him, sun and moon;
Praise Him, all stars of light!
Praise Him, [c](E)highest heavens,
And the (F)waters that are above the heavens!
Let them praise the name of the Lord,
For (G)He commanded and they were created.
He has also (H)established them forever and ever;
He has made a (I)decree which will not pass away.

Praise the Lord from the earth,
(J)Sea monsters and all (K)deeps;
(L)Fire and hail, (M)snow and (N)clouds;
(O)Stormy wind, (P)fulfilling His word;
(Q)Mountains and all hills;
Fruit (R)trees and all cedars;
10 (S)Beasts and all cattle;
(T)Creeping things and winged fowl;
11 (U)Kings of the earth and all peoples;
Princes and all judges of the earth;
12 Both young men and virgins;
Old men and children.

13 Let them praise the name of the Lord,
For His (V)name alone is exalted;
His (W)glory is above earth and heaven.
14 And He has (X)lifted up a horn for His people,
(Y)Praise for all His godly ones;
Even for the sons of Israel, a people (Z)near to Him.
[d]Praise [e]the Lord!

Proverbs 8:32-36

32 “Now therefore, O sons, (A)listen to me,
For (B)blessed are they who keep my ways.
33 (C)Heed instruction and be wise,
And do not neglect it.
34 (D)Blessed is the man who listens to me,
Watching daily at my gates,
Waiting at my doorposts.
35 “For (E)he who finds me finds life
And (F)obtains favor from the Lord.
36 “But he who [a]sins against me (G)injures himself;
All those who (H)hate me (I)love death.”

John 21:19-24

19 Now this He said, (A)signifying by (B)what kind of death he would glorify God. And when He had spoken this, He *said to him, (C)Follow Me!”

20 Peter, turning around, *saw the (D)disciple whom Jesus loved following them; the one who also had (E)leaned back on His bosom at the supper and said, “Lord, who is the one who betrays You?” 21 So Peter seeing him *said to Jesus, “Lord, and what about this man?” 22 Jesus *said to him, “If I want him to remain (F)until I come, what is that to you? You (G)follow Me!” 23 Therefore this saying went out among (H)the brethren that that disciple would not die; yet Jesus did not say to him that he would not die, but only, “If I want him to remain (I)until I come, what is that to you?”

24 This is the disciple who (J)is testifying to these things and wrote these things, and we know that his testimony is true.
