Bible in 90 Days
27 ‘Yet, after this, if you will not obey Me, but walk against Me stubbornly,
28 ‘then will I walk stubbornly in anger against you. And I will also chastise you seven times, according to your sins.
29 ‘And you shall eat the flesh of your sons. And the flesh of your daughters shall you devour.
30 ‘I will also destroy your high places and cut away your images and cast your carcasses upon the bodies of your idols. And My Soul shall abhor you.
31 ‘And I will make your cities desolate and bring your Sanctuary to nothing. And I will not smell the savor of your sweet odors.
32 ‘I will also bring the land to a wilderness. And your enemies which dwell therein shall be astonished at it.
33 ‘Also, I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you. And your land shall be waste. And your cities shall be desolate.
34 ‘Then shall the land enjoy her Sabbaths, as long as it lies desolate. And you shall be in your enemies’ land. Then shall the land rest and enjoy her Sabbaths.
35 ‘All the days that it lies desolate, it shall rest, because it did not rest in your Sabbaths, when you dwelt on it.
36 ‘And upon those who are left, I will send a weakness into their hearts in the land of your enemies. And the sound of a leaf shaken shall chase them. And they shall flee as fleeing from a sword. And they shall fall, no man pursuing them.
37 ‘They shall also fall one upon another, as before a sword, though no one pursues them. And you shall not be able to stand before your enemies.
38 ‘And you shall perish among the heathen. And the land of your enemies shall eat you up.
39 ‘And those who are left shall rot in their iniquity, in your enemies’ lands. And in the iniquities of their fathers shall they rot also.
40 ‘Then they shall confess their iniquity, and the wickedness of their fathers, for their trespass which they have trespassed against Me; and also because they have walked stubbornly against Me.
41 ‘Therefore, I will walk stubbornly against them, and bring them into the land of their enemies. So, then, their uncircumcised hearts shall be humbled. And they shall willingly bear their iniquity.
42 ‘Then I will remember My Covenant with Jacob, and also My Covenant with Isaac. And I will also remember My Covenant with Abraham; and will remember the land.
43 ‘The land also shall be left by them, and shall enjoy its Sabbaths while it lies desolate without them. But they shall willingly suffer their iniquity, because they despised My Laws, because their soul abhorred My Ordinances.
44 ‘Yet, notwithstanding this, when they shall be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away. Nor will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, to break My Covenant with them. For I am the LORD their God.
45 ‘But I will remember the Covenant of old for them, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt, in the sight of the heathen, so that I might be their God. I am the LORD.’”
46 These are the Ordinances and the Judgments and the Laws which the LORD made between Him and the children of Israel, on Mount Sinai, by the hand of Moses.
27 Moreover, the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
2 “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, ‘If, by your valuation, anyone shall make an extraordinary vow over a person to the LORD,
3 ‘then your valuation shall be—if it is a male from twenty years old to sixty years old—your valuation shall be fifty shekels of silver, after the shekel of the Sanctuary.
4 ‘But if it is a female, then your valuation shall be thirty shekels.
5 ‘And, from five years old to twenty years old, your valuation shall be twenty shekels for the male and ten shekels for the female.
6 ‘But, from a month old to five years old, your price for the male shall be five shekels of silver. And your price for the female: three shekels of silver.
7 ‘And, from sixty years old and above, if a male, then your price shall be fifteen shekels, and for the female ten shekels.
8 ‘But if he is poorer than had been thought, then he shall present himself before the Priest, and the Priest shall value him according to the ability of he who vowed. The Priest shall value him.
9 ‘And, if it is a beast of which men bring an offering to the LORD, all that one gives of such to the LORD shall be holy.
10 ‘He shall not alter it or change it, a good for a bad nor a bad for a good. And if he changes beast for beast, then both this and that which was exchanged shall be holy.
11 ‘And if it is any unclean beast of which men do not offer a sacrifice to the LORD, he shall then present the beast before the Priest.
12 ‘And the Priest shall value it, whether it is good or bad. As you, the Priest, value it, so shall it be.
13 ‘But, if he will buy it again, then he shall give a fifth more for it above your valuation.
14 ‘Also, when a man shall dedicate his house to be holy to the LORD, then the Priest shall value it, whether it is good or bad. As the Priest shall price it, so shall the value be.
15 ‘But, if he who sanctified it will redeem his house, then he shall give for it a fifth more money than your estimation, and it shall be his.
16 ‘Also, if a man dedicates any ground of his inheritance to the LORD, then you shall value it according to its seed. An homer of barley seed shall be fifty shekels of silver.
17 ‘If he dedicates his field from the year of Jubilee, it shall be worth whatever you value it.
18 ‘But, if he dedicates his field after the Jubilee, then the Priest shall reckon to him the money according to the years that remain until the year of Jubilee. And it shall be deducted from your valuation.
19 ‘And if he who dedicates it will redeem the field, then he shall put a fifth of the price at which you valued it towards it. And it shall remain his.
20 ‘And if he will not redeem the field, but sells the field to another man, it shall be redeemed no more.
21 ‘But the field shall be holy to the LORD when it goes out in the Jubilee, as a field separate from common uses. The possession of it shall be the Priest’s.
22 ‘Also, if a man dedicates a field which he has bought to the LORD (which is not of the ground of his inheritance),
23 ‘then the Priest shall set the price to him as you value it, until the year of Jubilee. And he shall give your price the same day, holy, to the LORD.
24 ‘In the year of Jubilee, the field shall return to him from whom it was bought, to him whose inheritance the land was.
25 And all the valuation shall be according to the shekel of the Sanctuary. A shekel contains twenty gerahs.
26 ‘But the firstborn of the beasts—because it is the LORD’s firstborn—no one shall dedicate, be it bullock or sheep. It is the LORD’s.
27 ‘But if it is an unclean beast, then he shall redeem it by your valuation and give a fifth more for it. And if it is not redeemed, then it shall be sold according to your valuation.
28 ‘Nevertheless, nothing separate from the common use which a man separates to the LORD of all that he has (whether man or beast or land of his inheritance) may be sold or redeemed. Everything separate from the common use is Most Holy to the LORD.
29 ‘Nothing separate from the common use which shall be separate from man, shall be redeemed, but die the death.
30 ‘Also, all the tithe of the land—of the seed of the ground and of the fruit of the trees—is the LORD’s. It is holy to the LORD.
31 ‘But if a man will redeem any of his tithe, he shall add a fifth to it.
32 ‘And of every tithe of bullock, and of sheep, and of all that goes under the rod, a tenth shall be holy to the LORD.
33 ‘He shall not look if it is good or bad, nor shall he exchange it. Because if he exchanges it, both it and that for which it was exchanged shall be holy. It shall not be redeemed.’”
34 These are the Commandments which the LORD commanded by Moses to the children of Israel on Mount Sinai.
1 Again, the LORD spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, on the first of the second month, in the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying,
2 “Take the sum of all the Congregation of the children of Israel, after their families and households of their fathers, with the number of their names—all the males, man by man,
3 “from twenty years old and above—all that go forth to the war in Israel. You and Aaron shall number them throughout their armies.
4 “And with you shall be men of every tribe, such as are the heads of the House of their fathers.
5 “And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you: of Reuben, Elizur, the son of Shedeur;
6 “of Simeon, Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai;
7 “of Judah, Nahshon the son of Amminadab;
8 “of Issachar, Nethanel the son of Zuar;
9 “of Zebulun, Eliab, the son of Helon;
10 “(of the children of Joseph) of Ephraim, Elishama the son of Ammihud; of Manasseh, Gamaliel, the son of Pedahzur;
11 “of Benjamin, Abidan the son of Gideoni;
12 “of Dan, Ahiezer, the son of Ammishaddai;
13 “of Asher, Pagiel, the son of Ocran;
14 “of Gad, Eliasaph the son of Deuel;
15 “of Naphtali, Ahira the son of Enan.”
16 These were famous in the Congregation, princes of the tribes of their fathers, heads over thousands in Israel.
17 Then Moses and Aaron took these men who are expressed by name.
18 And they called all the Congregation together on the first of the second month, who declared their kindred by their families, by the Houses of their fathers, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, man by man.
19 As the LORD had commanded Moses, so he numbered them in the wilderness of Sinai.
20 So were the sons of Reuben, Israel’s eldest son, by their generations, by their families, by the Houses of their fathers, according to the number of names, man by man, every male from twenty years old and above, as many as went forth to war.
21 The number of those of the tribe of Reuben was forty-six thousand five hundred.
22 Of the sons of Simeon, by their generations, by their families, by the Houses of their fathers—the sum of them, by the number of names, man by man, every male from twenty years old and above, all that went forth to war—
23 the sum of those of the tribe of Simeon was fifty-nine thousand three hundred.
24 Of the sons of Gad, by their generations, by their families, by the Houses of their fathers—according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, all that went forth to war—
25 the number of those of the tribe of Gad was forty-five thousand six hundred and fifty.
26 Of the sons of Judah, by their generations, by their families, by the Houses of their fathers—according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, all that went forth to war—
27 the number of those of the tribe of Judah was seventy-four thousand six hundred.
28 Of the sons of Issachar, by their generations, by their families, by the Houses of their fathers—according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, all that went forth to war—
29 the number of those of the tribe of Issachar was fifty-four thousand four hundred.
30 Of the sons of Zebulun, by their generations, by their families, by the Houses of their fathers—according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, all that went forth to war—
31 the number of those of the tribe of Zebulun was fifty-seven thousand four hundred.
32 Of the sons of Joseph (namely of the sons of Ephraim), by their generations, by their families, by the Houses of their fathers—according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, all that went forth to war—
33 the number of those of the tribe of Ephraim was forty thousand five hundred.
34 Of the sons of Manasseh, by their generations, by their families, by the Houses of their fathers—according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, all that went forth to war—
35 the number of those of the tribe of Manasseh was thirty-two thousand two hundred.
36 Of the sons of Benjamin, by their generations, by their families, by the Houses of their fathers—according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, all that went forth to war—
37 the number of those of the tribe of Benjamin was thirty-five thousand four hundred.
38 Of the sons of Dan, by their generations, by their families, by the Houses of their fathers—according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, all that went forth to war—
39 the number of those of the tribe of Dan was sixty-two thousand seven hundred.
40 Of the sons of Asher, by their generations, by their families, by the Houses of their fathers—according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, all that went forth to war—
41 the number of those of the tribe of Asher was forty-one thousand five hundred.
42 Of the children of Naphtali, by their generations, by their families, by the Houses of their fathers—according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, all that went to the war—
43 the number of those of the tribe of Naphtali was fifty-three thousand four hundred.
44 These are the sums which Moses and Aaron numbered, and the Princes of Israel (twelve men, each representing the House of their fathers).
45 So was all the sum of the sons of Israel, by the Houses of their fathers, from twenty years old and above, all that went to the war in Israel.
46 And they were altogether in number six hundred-three thousand five hundred fifty.
47 But the Levites, after the tribes of their fathers, were not included among them.
48 For the LORD had spoken to Moses, and said,
49 “Only you shall not include the tribe of Levi, nor take a census of them among the children of Israel.
50 “But you shall appoint the Levites over the Tabernacle of the Testimony, and over all of its instruments, and over all things that belong to it. They shall bear the Tabernacle and all its instruments, and shall minister in it, and shall dwell all around the Tabernacle.
51 “And when the Tabernacle goes forth, the Levites shall take it down. And when the Tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites shall set it up. For the stranger who comes near shall be killed.
52 “Also, the children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man in his own camp, and every man under his own standard, throughout their armies.
53 “But the Levites shall pitch all around the Tabernacle of the Testimony, lest vengeance come upon the Congregation of the children of Israel. And the Levites shall take charge of the Tabernacle of the Testimony.”
54 So the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD had Commanded Moses. So did they.
2 And the LORD spoke to Moses, and to Aaron, saying,
2 “Every man of the children of Israel shall camp by his standard, under the banner of their father’s House. Far off, around the Tabernacle of the Congregation, they shall pitch.
3 “On the east side, toward the rising of the Sun, shall they of the standard of the camp of Judah pitch (according to their armies) and Nahshon, the son of Amminadab, captain of the sons of Judah,
4 “and his army, shall be numbered at seventy-four thousand six hundred.
5 “Next to him shall they of the tribe of Issachar pitch. And Nethanel, the son of Zuar, shall be the captain of the sons of Issachar.”
6 “And his army shall be numbered at fifty-four thousand four hundred.
7 “The tribe of Zebulun, and Eliab, the son of Helon, captain over the sons of Zebulun,
8 “and his army, shall be numbered at fifty-seven thousand four hundred.
9 “The whole number of the army of Judah—one hundred eighty-six thousand four hundred, according to their armies—they shall first set forth.
10 “On the south side shall be the standard of the camp of Reuben, according to their armies. And the captain over the sons of Reuben shall be Elizur, the son of Shedeur.”
11 “And his army shall be numbered at forty-six thousand five hundred.
12 “And near him shall the tribe of Simeon pitch. And the captain over the sons of Simeon shall be Shelumiel, the son of Zurishaddai.”
13 “And his army shall be numbered at fifty-nine thousand three hundred.
14 “And the tribe of Gad. And the captain over the sons of Gad shall be Eliasaph, the son of Deuel.”
15 “And his army shall be numbered at forty-five thousand, six hundred fifty.
16 “All the number of the camp of Reuben shall be one-hundred-fifty thousand four hundred fifty, according to their armies. And they shall set forth in the second place.
17 “Then, the Tabernacle of the Congregation shall go with the camp of the Levites. In the midst of the camp, as they have pitched, so shall they go forward, every man in his order, according to their banners.
18 “The banner of the camp of Ephraim shall be toward the west, according to their armies. The captain over the sons of Ephraim shall be Elishama, the son of Ammihud.”
19 “And his army shall be numbered at forty thousand five hundred.
20 “And next to him shall be the tribe of Manasseh. And the captain over the sons of Manasseh shall be Gamaliel, the son of Pedahzur.
21 “And his army shall be numbered at thirty-two thousand two hundred.
22 “And the tribe of Benjamin (and the captain over the sons of Benjamin: Abidan, the son of Gideoni,
23 “and his army), their number is thirty-five thousand four hundred.
24 “All the camp of Ephraim is numbered at one hundred eight thousand one hundred, according to their armies. And they shall go in the third place.
25 “The banner of the camp of Dan shall be toward the north, according to their armies. And the captain over the children of Dan shall be Ahiezer, the son of Ammishaddai.
26 “And his army shall be numbered at sixty-two thousand seven hundred.
27 “And next to him shall the tribe of Asher pitch, and the captain over the sons of Asher, Pagiel, the son of Ocran.
28 “And his army shall be numbered at forty-one thousand five hundred.
29 “Then, the tribe of Naphtali—and the captain over the children of Naphtali: Ahira, the son of Enan,
30 “and his army—which shall number fifty-three thousand four hundred.
31 “All the camp of Dan— one hundred-fifty-seven thousand six hundred—shall go last, with their banners.”
32 These are the sums of the children of Israel, by the Houses of their fathers—all the number of the camp, according to their armies—six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty.
33 But the Levites were not numbered among the children of Israel, as the LORD had commanded Moses.
34 And the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD had commanded Moses. So they pitched according to their banners. And so everyone journeyed with his families, according to the Houses of their fathers.
3 Also, these were the generations of Aaron and Moses, in the days that the LORD spoke with Moses on Mount Sinai.
2 So these are the names of the sons of Aaron: Nadab (the firstborn) and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
3 These are the names of the sons of Aaron, the anointed Priests, whom he consecrated to minister in the Priest’s office.
4 And Nadab and Abihu died before the LORD, when they offered strange fire before the LORD in the wilderness of Sinai and had no children. But Eleazar and Ithamar served in the Priest’s office in the sight of Aaron, their father.
5 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
6 “Bring the tribe of Levi and set them before Aaron the Priest, so that they may serve him
7 “and tend to him, even tend to the whole Congregation, before the Tabernacle of the Congregation, to do the service of the Tabernacle.
8 “They shall also maintain all the instruments of the Tabernacle of the Congregation and tend to the needs of the children of Israel, to do the service of the Tabernacle.
9 “And you shall give the Levites to Aaron, and to his sons. They are given to him freely from among the children of Israel.
10 “And you shall appoint Aaron and his sons to execute their Priest’s office. And the stranger who comes near shall be killed.”
11 Also, the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
12 “Behold, I have even taken the Levites from among the children of Israel, for all the firstborn that open the womb among the children of Israel. And the Levites shall be Mine,
13 “because all the firstborn are Mine. For the same day that I struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, I sanctified to Me all the firstborn in Israel, both man and beast. Mine they shall be. I am the LORD.”
14 Moreover, the LORD spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, saying,
15 “Number the children of Levi, after the Houses of their fathers, in their families. Every male from a month old and above shall you number.”
16 Then Moses numbered them according to the Word of the LORD, as he was Commanded.
17 And these were the sons of Levi, by their names: Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari.
18 Also these were the names of the sons of Gershon, by their families: Libni and Shimei.
19 Also the sons of Kohath, by their families: Amram and Izehar, Hebron, and Uzziel.
20 And the sons of Merari, by their families: Mahli and Mushi. These were the families of Levi, according to the Houses of their fathers.
21 From Gershon came the family of the Libnites and the family of the Shimites. These were the families of the Gershonites,
22 the sum of which (after the number of all the males from a month old and above) was counted seven thousand five hundred.
23 The families of the Gershonites were to pitch behind the Tabernacle, westward.
24 The captain and ancient of the House of the Gershonites was Eliasaph, the son of Lael.
25 And the sons of Gershon in the Tabernacle of the Congregation were to be in charge of the Tabernacle and the Pavilion, its covering, and the Veil of the door of the Tabernacle of the Congregation,
26 and the hanging of the court and the Veil of the door of the court which is near the Tabernacle, and near the Altar, all around, and the cords of it, for all its services.
27 And from Kohath came the family of the Amramites and the family of the Izharites and the family of the Hebronites and the family of the Uzzielites. These were the families of the Kohathites.
28 The number of all the males from a month old and above was eight thousand six hundred, keeping charge of the Sanctuary.
29 The families of the sons of Kohath were to pitch on the south side of the Tabernacle.
30 The captain and ancient of the House and families of the Kohathites was Elizaphan, the son of Uzziel.
31 And their charge was to be the Ark, the Table, the Candlestick, the Altars, the instruments of the Sanctuary with which they minister, the Veil, and all that serves them.
32 And Eleazar, the son of Aaron the Priest, was to be chief captain of the Levites, having oversight of those in charge of the Sanctuary.
33 From Merari came the family of the Mahlites, and the family of the Mushites. These were the families of Merari.
34 And the sum of them, according to the number of all the males from a month old and above, was six thousand two hundred.
35 The captain and the ancient of the House of the families of Merari was Zuriel, the son of Abihail. They were to pitch on the Northside of the Tabernacle.
36 And the sons of Merari were in charge and custody of the boards of the Tabernacle, its bars, its pillars, its sockets, and all its instruments, and all that serves them,
37 with the pillars of the court all around, with their sockets, and their pins and their cords.
38 Also, on the forefront of the Tabernacle, toward the east, before the Tabernacle of the Congregation, eastward, Moses and Aaron and his sons were to pitch, having charge of the Sanctuary and charge of the children of Israel. But the stranger who came near would be killed.
39 The whole sum of the Levites, which Moses and Aaron numbered at the Commandment of the LORD, throughout their families, all the males from a month old and above, was twenty-two thousand.
40 And the LORD said to Moses, “Number all the firstborn who are males among the children of Israel from a month old and above and take the number of their names.
41 “And you shall take the Levites for Me instead of all the firstborn of the children of Israel—I am the LORD—and the cattle of the Levites instead of all the firstborn of the cattle of the children of Israel.”
42 And Moses numbered all the firstborn of the children of Israel, as the LORD Commanded him.
43 All the firstborn males by name (from a month old and above), according to their number, were twenty-two thousand two hundred seventy three.
44 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
45 “Take the Levites instead of all the firstborn of the children of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites instead of their cattle. And the Levites shall be Mine. I am the LORD.
46 “And for the redeeming of the two hundred seventy-three of the firstborn of the children of Israel (which is more than the Levites),
47 “you shall also take five shekels for every person. You shall take it after the weight of the Sanctuary. The shekel contains twenty gerahs.
48 “And you shall give the money with which the excess number of them is redeemed to Aaron and to his sons.”
49 Thus Moses took the redemption of those who were redeemed in addition to the Levites.
50 He took the money from the firstborn of the children of Israel: one thousand three hundred sixty-five, after the shekel of the Sanctuary.
51 And Moses gave the money from those who were redeemed to Aaron and to his sons, according to the Word of the LORD, as the LORD had Commanded Moses.
4 And the LORD spoke to Moses, and to Aaron, saying,
2 “Take the sum of the sons of Kohath from among the sons of Levi, after their families and Houses of their fathers,
3 “from thirty years old and above, even up to fifty years old, all that enter into the assembly to do the work in the Tabernacle of the Congregation.
4 “This shall be the office of the sons of Kohath in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, the holiest of all:
5 “When the camp pulls up stakes, then Aaron and his sons shall come and take down the covering Veil and shall cover the Ark of the Testimony with it.
6 “And they shall put a covering of badger’s skins on it, and shall spread a cloth upon it, altogether of blue silk. And they shall insert the poles.
7 “And they shall spread a cloth of blue silk upon the Table of Show Bread, and put the dishes on it, and the cups and goblets, and coverings to cover it. And the Bread shall be on it continually.
8 “And they shall spread a covering of scarlet upon them and cover the same with a covering of badger’s skins. And they shall insert the poles.
9 “Then they shall take a cloth of blue silk and cover the Candlestick of Light with its lamps, its snuffers, its snuffdishes, and all its oil vessels with which they service it.
10 “So they shall put it, and all its instruments, in a covering of badger’s skins, and put it upon poles.
11 “Also, they shall spread a cloth of blue silk upon the golden Altar and cover it with a covering of badger’s skins and insert its poles.
12 “And they shall take all the instruments of the ministry, with which they minister in the Sanctuary, and put them in a cloth of blue silk and cover them with a covering of badger’s skins and insert their poles.
13 “Also, they shall take away the ashes from the Altar and spread a purple cloth upon it.
14 “And they shall put upon it all its instruments with which they minister there: the censers, the fleshhooks, the brooms, and the basins, all the instruments of the altar. And they shall spread upon it a covering of badger’s skins and insert its poles.
15 “And when Aaron and his sons have finished covering the Sanctuary, and all the instruments of the Sanctuary, when the camp is ready to move, then the sons of Kohath shall come to carry them. But they shall not touch any Holy thing, lest they die. This is the charge of the sons of Kohath in the Tabernacle of the Congregation.
16 “And to the office of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the Priest: the oil for the light and the sweet incense and the daily Meat Offering and the anointing oil and the oversight of all the Tabernacle and of all that is inside (both in the Sanctuary and in all its instruments).”
17 And the LORD spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,
18 “You shall not cut off the tribe of the families of the Kohathites from among the Levites.
19 “But do this to them so that they may live and not die when they come near to the Most Holy things. Let Aaron and his sons come and appoint them, everyone to his office and to his charge.
20 “But do not let them go in to see when the Sanctuary is covered up, lest they die.”
21 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
22 “Also, take the sum of the sons of Gershon, every one by the Houses of their fathers, throughout their families.
23 “From thirty years old and above to fifty years old you shall number them, all that enter into the assembly to do service in the Tabernacle of the Congregation.
24 “This shall be the service of the families of the Gershonites: to serve and to carry.
25 “They shall carry the curtains of the Tabernacle, the Tabernacle of the Congregation, its covering and the covering of badger’s skins that is on high upon it, the veil of the door of the Tabernacle of the Congregation,
26 “also the curtains of the court, the veil of the door of the gate of the court which is near the Tabernacle and near the Altar, all round, with their cords, and all the instruments for their service, and all that is made for them. So shall they serve.
27 “All the service of the sons of the Gershonites shall be done at the commandment of Aaron and his sons, in all their charges and in all their service. And you shall appoint them to keep all their charges.
28 “This is the service of the families of the sons of the Gershonites in the Tabernacle of the Congregation. And their watch shall be under the hand of Ithamar, the son of Aaron the Priest.
29 “You shall number the sons of Merari by their families, by the Houses of their fathers.
30 “From thirty years old and above, up to fifty years old, you shall number them, all that enter into the assembly to do the service of the Tabernacle of the Congregation.
31 “And this is their office and charge, according to all their service in the Tabernacle of the Congregation: the boards of the Tabernacle, with its poles, its pillars and its sockets,
32 “and the pillars all around the court, with their sockets and their pins, and their cords with all their instruments, for all their service. And by name you shall assign the instruments of their office and charge.
33 “This is the service of the families of the sons of Merari, according to all their service in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, under the hand of Ithamar, the son of Aaron the Priest.”
34 Then Moses and Aaron and the princes of the Congregation numbered the sons of the Kohathites, by their families and by the Houses of their fathers,
35 from thirty years old and above up to fifty years old, all that enter into the assembly for the service of the Tabernacle of the Congregation.
36 So the numbers of them throughout their families was two thousand seven hundred fifty.
37 These are the numbers of the families of the Kohathites, all that serve in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, which Moses and Aaron numbered according to the Commandment of the LORD, by the hand of Moses.
38 Also, the numbers of the sons of Gershon throughout their families and Houses of their fathers—
39 from thirty years old and upward, even up to fifty years old, all that enter into the assembly for the service of the Tabernacle of the Congregation—
40 the number of them, by their families, by the Houses of their fathers, was two thousand six hundred thirty.
41 These are the numbers of the families of the sons of Gershon, of all who did service in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the Commandment of the LORD.
42 These are the numbers of the families of the sons of Merari, by their families, by the Houses of their fathers,
43 from thirty years old and upward, up to fifty years old, all who entered into the assembly for the service of the Tabernacle of the Congregation.
44 So, the number of them, by their families, was three thousand two hundred.
45 These are the sums of the families of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the Commandment of the LORD, by the hand of Moses,
46 all the numbers of the Levites, which Moses and Aaron and the princes of Israel numbered by their families and by the Houses of their fathers,
47 from thirty years old and upward, even to fifty years old, every one that came to do his duty, office, service and charge in the Tabernacle of the Congregation.
48 So, the number of them was eight thousand five hundred eighty.
49 According to the Commandment of the LORD, by the hand of Moses they were numbered, everyone according to his service and according to his charge. Thus, they of that tribe were numbered, as the LORD Commanded Moses.
5 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
2 “Command the children of Israel that they put every leper out of the camp, and everyone who has a discharge, and whoever is defiled by the dead.
3 “You shall put out both male and female. You shall put them out of the camp, so that they do not defile their tents, among whom I dwell.”
4 And the children of Israel did so and put them out of the camp. As the LORD had Commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel.
5 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
6 “Speak to the children of Israel. When a man or woman shall commit any sin that men commit— and transgress against the LORD — when that person shall trespass,
7 “then they shall confess their sin which they have done and shall restore the damage with principal plus a fifth part more. And he shall give it to him against whom he has trespassed.
8 “But if the man has no kinsman to whom he should restore the damage, the damage shall be restored to the LORD for the Priest’s use (in addition to the Ram of the Atonement) by which he shall make atonement for him.
9 “And every offering of all the holy things of the children of Israel, which they bring to the Priest, shall be his.
10 “And every man’s hallowed things shall be his. Whatever any man gives the Priest, it shall be his.”
11 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
12 “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, ‘If any man’s wife turns to evil and commits a trespass against him,
13 ‘so that another man lies with her, fleshly. And it is hidden from the eyes of her husband and concealed that she is defiled. And there is no witness against her, nor is she caught in the act.
14 ‘If he is moved with a jealous mind, so that he is jealous over his wife who is defiled. Or if he has a jealous mind, so that he is jealous over his wife who is not defiled,
15 ‘then the man shall bring his wife to the Priest and bring her offering with her (one tenth of an ephah of barley meal). He shall not pour oil upon it, nor put incense on it. For it is an offering of jealousy, an offering for a remembrance, calling the sin to mind.
16 ‘And the Priest shall bring her and set her before the LORD.
17 ‘Then the Priest shall take the holy water in an earthen vessel and the dust that is in the floor of the Tabernacle. The Priest shall take it and put it into the water.
18 ‘Afterward, the Priest shall set the woman before the LORD and uncover the woman’s head and put the offering of the memorial in her hands. It is the Jealousy Offering. And the Priest shall have bitter, cursed water in his hand.
19 ‘And the Priest shall charge her by an oath, and say to the woman, “If no man has lain with you, and you have not turned to uncleanness from your husband, be free from this bitter, cursed water.
20 “But if you have turned from your husband, and so are defiled, and some man has lain with you besides your husband…”
21 ‘Then the Priest shall charge the woman with an oath of cursing. And the Priest shall say to the woman, “The LORD make you accursed and detestable for the oath among the people. And the LORD cause your thigh to rot and your belly to swell,
22 “and cause this cursed water to go into your bowels, to cause your belly to swell, and your thigh to rot.” Then the woman shall answer, “Amen, Amen.”
23 ‘Afterward, the Priest shall write these curses in a book, and shall blot them out with the bitter water,
24 ‘and shall cause the woman to drink the bitter and cursed water. And the cursed water turned into bitterness shall enter into her.
25 ‘Then the Priest shall take the Jealousy Offering out of the woman’s hand, and shall shake the offering before the LORD, and offer it upon the Altar.
26 ‘And the Priest shall take from the offering, for a memorial thereof, and burn it upon the Altar, and afterward make the woman drink the water.
27 ‘When he has made her drink the water, if she is defiled and has trespassed against her husband, then shall the cursed water, turned into bitterness, enter into her. And her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall rot, and the woman shall be accursed among her people.
28 ‘But if the woman is not defiled, but is clean, she shall be free, and shall conceive and bear.
29 ‘This is the Law of Jealousy, when a wife turns from her husband and is defiled.
30 ‘Or, when a man is moved with a jealous mind, being jealous over his wife, then he shall bring the woman before the LORD. And the Priest shall do to her according to all this Law,
31 ‘And the man shall be free from sin. But this woman shall bear her iniquity.’”
6 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
2 “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, ‘When a man or a woman separates themselves to vow a vow of a Nazirite, to separate to the LORD,
3 ‘he shall abstain from wine and strong drink, and shall drink no sour wine nor sour drink, nor shall drink any liquor of grapes, nor eat fresh grapes or dried.
4 ‘As long as his abstinence endures, he shall eat nothing that is made from the wine of the vine or the kernels or the husk.
5 ‘While he is separated by his vow, the razor shall not come upon his head until the days are complete in which he separates himself to the LORD. He shall be holy and shall let the locks of the hair of his head grow.
6 ‘During the time that he separates himself to the LORD, he shall come near no dead body:
7 ‘He shall not make himself unclean at the death of his father or mother, brother, or sister. For the consecration of his God is upon his head.
8 ‘All the days of his separation he shall be holy to the LORD.
9 ‘And if anyone dies suddenly near him, and the head of his consecration shall be defiled, he shall shave his head on the day of his cleansing. On the seventh day he shall shave it.
10 ‘And on the eighth day he shall bring two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, to the Priest at the door of the Tabernacle of the Congregation.
11 ‘Then the Priest shall prepare one for a Sin Offering and the other for a Burnt Offering and shall make an atonement for him, because he sinned concerning the dead. So shall he consecrate his head the same day.
12 ‘And he shall consecrate the days of his separation to the LORD and shall bring a lamb of a year old for a Trespass Offering. But the early days shall be voided, for his consecration was defiled.
13 ‘This, then, is the Law of the Nazirite: when the time of his consecration is ended, he shall come to the door of the Tabernacle of the Congregation.
14 ‘And he shall bring his offering to the LORD: a male lamb of a year old without blemish (for a Burnt Offering), a female lamb of a year old without blemish (for a Sin Offering), a ram without blemish (for Peace Offerings),
15 ‘a basket of unleavened bread—of cakes of fine flour, mingled with oil, and wafers of unleavened bread, anointed with oil—with their Meat Offering and their Drink Offerings.
16 ‘The Priest shall bring these before the LORD and make his Sin Offering and his Burnt Offering.
17 ‘He shall also prepare the ram for a Peace Offering to the LORD, with the basket of unleavened bread. And the Priest shall make his Meat Offering and his Drink Offering.
18 ‘And the Nazirite shall shave the head of his consecration at the door of the Tabernacle of the Congregation and shall take the hair of the head of his consecration and put it in the fire which is under the Peace Offering.
19 ‘Then, the Priest shall take the boiled shoulder of the ram, and an unleavened cake out of the basket, and a wafer (unleavened) and put them upon the hands of the Nazirite, after he has shaved his consecration.
20 ‘And the Priest shall shake them to and fro before the LORD. This is a Holy thing for the Priest besides the shaken breast, and besides the heave shoulder. So afterward, the Nazirite may drink wine.
21 ‘This is the Law of the Nazirite which he has vowed from his offering to the LORD for his consecration, in addition to whatever else he is able to bring. According to the vow which he vowed, so shall he do after the Law of his Consecration.’”
22 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
23 “Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, ‘Thus shall you bless the children of Israel, and say to them,
24 “The LORD bless you and keep you.
25 “The LORD make His Face shine upon you and be merciful to you.
26 “The LORD lift up His Countenance upon you and give you peace.”
27 ‘So they shall put My Name upon the children of Israel. And I will bless them.’”
7 Now when Moses had finished setting up the Tabernacle, and anointed it and sanctified it and all its instruments, and the Altar with all its instruments, and had anointed them, and sanctified them,
2 then the Princes of Israel, heads over the Houses of their fathers (they were the Princes of the tribes, who were over those who were numbered), offered
3 and brought an offering before the LORD of six covered chariots and twelve oxen (one chariot for every two Princes, and for every Prince an ox). and they offered them before the Tabernacle.
4 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
5 “Take them, that they may be to do the service of the Tabernacle of the Congregation. And you shall give them to the Levites, to every man according to his office.”
6 So Moses took the chariots and the oxen and gave them to the Levites.
7 He gave two chariots and four oxen to the sons of Gershon, according to their office.
8 And he gave four chariots and eight oxen to the sons of Merari, according to their office, under the hand of Ithamar, the son of Aaron the Priest.
9 But to the sons of Kohath he gave none, because they had charge of the Sanctuary, which they bore upon their shoulders.
10 The Princes also offered in the dedication for the Altar on the day that it was anointed. Then the Princes offered their offering before the Altar.
11 And the LORD said to Moses, “One Prince one day, and another Prince another day, shall offer their offering for the dedication of the Altar.”

8 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
2 “Speak to Aaron, and say to him, ‘When you light the Lamps, the seven Lamps shall give light toward the front of the Candlestick.’”
3 And Aaron did so, lighting its lamps toward the front of the Candlestick, as the LORD had Commanded Moses.
4 And this was the work of the Candlestick, of gold beaten out with the hammer. Both the shaft and its flower were beaten out with the hammer. According to the pattern which the LORD had shown Moses, so he made the Candlestick.
5 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

7 “And you shall do this to them when you purify them: sprinkle Water of Purification upon them, and let them shave all their flesh and wash their clothes. So they shall be clean.
8 “Then they shall take a young bullock, with his Meat Offering of fine flour mingled with oil. And you shall take another young bullock for a Sin Offering.

12 “And the Levites shall put their hands upon the heads of the bullocks, and you shall make one a Sin Offering and the other a Burnt Offering to the LORD, so that you may make an atonement for the Levites.

14 “Thus you shall separate the Levites from among the children of Israel. And the Levites shall be Mine.
