113 Praise[a] the Lord!
(A)Praise, O servants of the Lord,
Praise the name of the Lord!
2 (B)Blessed be the name of the Lord
From this time forth and forevermore!
3 (C)From the rising of the sun to its going down
The Lord’s name is to be praised.
4 The Lord is (D)high above all nations,
(E)His glory above the heavens.
5 (F)Who is like the Lord our God,
Who dwells on high,
6 (G)Who humbles Himself to behold
The things that are in the heavens and in the earth?
7 (H)He raises the poor out of the dust,
And lifts the (I)needy out of the ash heap,
8 That He may (J)seat him with princes—
With the princes of His people.
9 (K)He grants the [b]barren woman a home,
Like a joyful mother of children.

The Joy of Going to the House of the Lord

122 I was glad when they said to me,
(A)“Let us go into the house of the Lord.”
2 Our feet have been standing
Within your gates, O Jerusalem!
20 So it came to pass in the process of time that Hannah conceived and bore a son, and called his name [a]Samuel, saying, “Because I have asked for him from the Lord.”
21 Now the man Elkanah and all his house (A)went up to offer to the Lord the yearly sacrifice and his vow. 22 But Hannah did not go up, for she said to her husband, “Not until the child is weaned; then I will (B)take him, that he may appear before the Lord and (C)remain there (D)forever.”
23 So (E)Elkanah her husband said to her, “Do what seems best to you; wait until you have weaned him. Only let the Lord [b]establish [c]His word.” Then the woman stayed and nursed her son until she had weaned him.
24 Now when she had weaned him, she (F)took him up with her, with [d]three bulls, one ephah of flour, and a skin of wine, and brought him to (G)the house of the Lord in Shiloh. And the child was young. 25 Then they slaughtered a bull, and (H)brought the child to Eli. 26 And she said, “O my lord! (I)As your soul lives, my lord, I am the woman who stood by you here, praying to the Lord. 27 (J)For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition which I asked of Him. 28 Therefore I also have lent him to the Lord; as long as he lives he shall be [e]lent to the Lord.” So they (K)worshiped the Lord there.
14 For (A)as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15 For (B)you did not receive the spirit of bondage again (C)to fear, but you received the (D)Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, (E)“Abba,[a] Father.” 16 (F)The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then (G)heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, (H)if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
From Suffering to Glory
18 For I consider that (I)the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For (J)the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For (K)the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; 21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of [b]corruption into the glorious (L)liberty of the children of God.
