^54 (A)To a large tribe you shall give a large inheritance, and to a small tribe you shall give a small inheritance; every tribe shall be given its inheritance in proportion to its list.

^54 (A)You shall inherit the land by lot according to your clans. ^(B)To a large tribe you shall give a large inheritance, and to a small tribe you shall give a small inheritance. Wherever the lot falls for anyone, that shall be his. According to the tribes of your fathers you shall inherit.

¹⁴ Then ^(A)the people of Joseph spoke to Joshua, saying, “Why have you given me but ^(B)one lot and one portion as an inheritance, although I am ^(C)a numerous people, since all along the Lord has blessed me?”
