²⁴ So the descendants went in and possessed the land, and you subdued before them the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, and gave them into their hands, with their kings and the peoples of the land, to do with them as they pleased.^(A)

⁴³ Thus the Lord gave to Israel all the land that he swore to their ancestors that he would give them, and having taken possession of it, they settled there.^(A)

The Territories of the Remaining Tribes

18 Then the whole congregation of the Israelites assembled at Shiloh and set up the tent of meeting there. The land lay subdued before them.^(A)

²³ So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the Lord had spoken to Moses, and Joshua gave it for an inheritance to Israel according to their tribal allotments. And the land had rest from war.^(A)

²⁶ and that they may escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will.^[a]

¹⁸ “Is not the Lord your God with you? Has he not given you rest on every side? For he has delivered the inhabitants of the land into my hand, and the land is subdued before the Lord and his people.^(A)

⁴⁵ Not one of all the good promises that the Lord had made to the house of Israel had failed; all came to pass.^(A)

³¹ But your little ones, who you said would become plunder, I will bring in, and they shall know the land that you have despised.^(A)
