^15 [a]At this time Peter stood up in the midst of ^(A)the brethren (a gathering of about one hundred and twenty ^[b]persons was there together), and said,

^13 (A)I do not want you to be unaware, ^(B)brethren, that often I ^(C)have planned to come to you (and have been prevented so far) so that I may obtain some ^(D)fruit among you also, even as among the rest of the Gentiles.

Intent of the Law

^15 (A)Brethren, ^(B)I speak ^[a]in terms of human relations: ^(C)even though it is only a man’s ^[b]covenant, yet when it has been ratified, no one sets it aside or adds ^[c]conditions to it.

¹² I beg of you, ^(A)brethren, ^(B)become as I am, for I also have become as you are. You have done me no wrong;

²⁸ And you brethren, ^(A)like Isaac, are ^(B)children of promise.

³¹ So then, brethren, we are not children of a bondwoman, ^[a]but of the free woman.
