Hope

“Our hope for you is firm,” Paul said. How could he be so sure? If there’s anything that the world needs now, it’s hope. Wars rage and people suffer, natural disasters devastate, disease disrupts and tragedies abound. Most people live with great stress and distress. So where’s the hope?

Real hope and comfort is not found in a self-help program or in the latest political movement. It’s found in the God of all comfort, who loves us enough to comfort us when we need it most. But it doesn’t stop there. “If we are comforted, it is for your comfort,” Paul said. Every grace, encouragement and hopeful thing we receive from God is not just for us.
