The children whom thou shalt have, after thou hast lost the other, shall say again in thine ears, ‘The place is too narrow for me; give place to me that I may dwell.’
The children of thy bereavement shall yet say in thine ears, The place is too strait for me; give place to me that I may dwell.
“The children of your bereavement [those born in captivity] will yet say in your ears, ‘The place is too cramped for me’; Make room for me that I may live here.
The children of your bereavement [born during your captivity] shall yet say in your ears, The place is too narrow for me; make room for me, that I may live.
The children which thou shalt have, after thou hast lost the other, shall say again in thine ears, The place is too strait for me: give place to me that I may dwell.
Yet as you listen, the children that you have been deprived of will say, ‘This place is too small for me; make room for me so that I may settle.’
You will again hear the children who were born bereaved say, “The place is too crowded for me; make room for me to settle.”
The day will come when the children born when you were mourning will say to you, “This place is too cramped for me! Give me room, so I can live!”
Jerusalem is a woman whose children were born while she was in deep sorrow over the loss of her husband. Now those children will come and seek room in the crowded city,
The children of thy bereavement shall yet say in thine ears, The place is too narrow for me: make room for me, that I may dwell.
The children of thy barrenness shall still say in thy ears: The place is too strait for me, make me room to dwell in.
You were sad for the children you lost, but they will tell you, ‘This place is too small! Give us a bigger place to live!’
The children who were born in a foreign land will return to you. You will hear them say, “This place is too small for us. Find more room for us to live in.”
The children you lost will say this into your ears once again, “The place is too small for me. Make room for me so that I can settle there.”
The children of your bereavement will yet say in your ears: ‘The place is too narrow for me; make room for me to dwell in.’
The children of your bereavement will yet say in your ears: ‘The place is too narrow for me; make room for me to dwell in.’
The children ·born to you while you were sad [L of your bereavement] will say to you, ‘This place is too small for us. Give us a bigger place to live.’
The children of thy barrenness shall say again in thine ears, The place is strait for me: give place to me that I may dwell.
The children taken from you will say to you, “This place is too crowded for me. Make room for me to live here.”
Your people who were born in exile will one day say to you, ‘This land is too small— we need more room to live in!’

Even thy sons which were fatherless, shall say in thine ears, The place is too strait for me; give place to me that I may dwell.

“And your ruined land? Your devastated, decimated land? Filled with more people than you know what to do with! And your barbarian enemies, a fading memory. The children born in your exile will be saying, ‘It’s getting too crowded here. I need more room.’ And you’ll say to yourself, ‘Where on earth did these children come from? I lost everything, had nothing, was exiled and penniless. So who reared these children? How did these children get here?’”

The children born in the time of your bereavement will yet say in your ears: ‘The place is too narrow for me; make room for me to dwell in.’

Yet the sons of thy barrenness shall say in thine ears, The place is (too) strait to me, make thou a space to me for to dwell. (Yet the children born in thy barrenness shall say in thy ears, This place is too narrow for us, make thou a space for us to live in.)
Again do the sons of thy bereavement say in thine ears: `The place is too strait for me, Come nigh to me -- and I dwell.'
