Hebrews 2:16
Print
For verily He took not on Himself the nature of angels, but He took on Him the seed of Abraham.
For verily not to angels doth he give help, but he giveth help to the seed of Abraham.
For, as we all know, He (Christ) does not take hold of [the fallen] angels [to give them a helping hand], but He does take hold of [the fallen] descendants of Abraham [extending to them His hand of deliverance].
For, as we all know, He [Christ] did not take hold of angels [the fallen angels, to give them a helping and delivering hand], but He did take hold of [the fallen] descendants of Abraham [to reach out to them a helping and delivering hand].
For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
For it is clear that he does not reach out to help angels, but to help Abraham’s offspring.
Of course, he isn’t trying to help angels, but rather he’s helping Abraham’s descendants.
Indeed, it is obvious that he does not take hold of angels to help them; on the contrary, “He takes hold of the seed of Avraham.”
Jesus clearly did not come to help angels, but he did come to help Abraham's descendants.
For he does not indeed take hold of angels [by the hand], but he takes hold of the seed of Abraham.
For He surely does not take-hold-of  angels, but He takes hold of the seed of Abraham.
For no where doth he take hold of the angels: but of the seed of Abraham he taketh hold.
Clearly, it is not angels that Jesus helps. He helps the people who are from Abraham.
It is clear that Jesus did not come to help the angels. He came to help people who are from Abraham's family.
For surely he was not concerned with helping angels but with helping Abraham’s offspring.
For surely it is not angels that he helps, but he helps the offspring of Abraham.
For surely it is not angels that he helps, but he helps the offspring of Abraham.
[L For] Clearly, it is not angels that Jesus helps, but the ·people who are from [seed/descendants of] Abraham [C the father of the Jewish nation; Gen. 12—25].
For he in no sort took on him the Angels’ nature, but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
So Jesus helps Abraham’s descendants rather than helping angels.
For it is clear that it is not the angels that he helps. Instead, he helps the descendants of Abraham.
For it is clear that He does not reach out to help angels, but to help Abraham’s offspring.
Clearly, it is not angels that Jesus helps, but the people who are from Abraham.
For it is clear that he did not come to help angels. No, he came to help Abraham’s descendants,
Since, then, “the children” have a common physical nature as human beings, he also became a human being, so that by going through death as a man he might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil; and might also set free those who lived their whole lives a prey to the fear of death. It is plain that for this purpose he did not become an angel; he became a man, in actual fact a descendant of Abraham. It was imperative that he should be made like his brothers in nature, if he were to become a High Priest both compassionate and faithful in the things of God, and at the same time able to make atonement for the sins of the people. For by virtue of his own suffering under temptation he is able to help those who are exposed to temptation.
For verily he did not take the angels, but he took the seed of Abraham.
For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
For assuredly He does not give help to angels, but He gives help to the seed of Abraham.
For surely he is not concerned with angels, but he is concerned with the descendants of Abraham.
We all know he did not come as an angel but as a human being—yes, a Jew.
It’s obvious, of course, that he didn’t go to all this trouble for angels. It was for people like us, children of Abraham. That’s why he had to enter into every detail of human life. Then, when he came before God as high priest to get rid of the people’s sins, he would have already experienced it all himself—all the pain, all the testing—and would be able to help where help was needed.
For surely He does not help the angels, but He helps the seed of Abraham.
For surely he does not reach out to help angels, but he reaches out to help the seed of Abraham.
So Yeshua helps Abraham’s descendants rather than helping angels.
Surely he did not help angels but rather the descendants of Abraham;
For clearly He does not give help to angels, but He gives help to the descendants of Abraham.
For assuredly He does not give help to angels, but He gives help to the descendant of Abraham.
For clearly he did not come to help angels but rather he came to help the descendants of Abraham.
Clearly, it is not angels that Jesus helps, but the people who are from Abraham.
For surely his concern is not for angels, but he is concerned for Abraham’s descendants.
It is certainly Abraham’s children that he helps. He doesn’t help angels.
For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham’s descendants.
For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham’s descendants.
For indeed He does not give aid to angels, but He does give aid to the seed of Abraham.
Jesus did not come to help angels. Instead, He came to help men who are of Abraham’s family.
We also know that the Son did not come to help angels; he came to help the descendants of Abraham.
For in no place does he take on him the angels, but he takes the seed of Abraham on him.
For it is clear that he did not come to help angels, but the descendants of Abraham.
For it is clear that he did not come to help angels, but the descendants of Abraham.
For it is clear that he did not come to help angels, but the descendants of Abraham.
For it is clear that he did not come to help angels but the descendants of Abraham.
It’s obvious, you see, that he isn’t taking special thought for angels; he’s taking special thought for Abraham’s family.
For surely it was not malachim that concerned him, but the zera Avraham Avinu.
For He in no way took on the nature of angels, but He took on the seed of Abraham.
For surely it is not with angels that he is concerned but with the descendants of Abraham.
For surely it is not with angels that he is concerned but with the descendants of Abraham.
For surely He is not concerned about angels, but about the seed of Abraham.
So notice—His concern here is not for the welfare of the heavenly messengers, but for the children of Abraham.
For most certainly, he doesn’t give help to angels, but he gives help to the offspring of Abraham.
Jesus did not come to help angels. He came to help people who were born in Abraham's family.
And he took [to] never angels, but he took [to] the seed of Abraham.
for, doubtless, of messengers it doth not lay hold, but of seed of Abraham it layeth hold,
