Galatians 3:2

This only would I learn of you: Did ye receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
This only would I learn from you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
This is all I want to ask of you: did you receive the [Holy] Spirit as the result of obeying [the requirements of] the Law, or was it the result of hearing [the message of salvation and] with faith [believing it]?
Let me ask you this one question: Did you receive the [Holy] Spirit as the result of obeying the Law and doing its works, or was it by hearing [the message of the Gospel] and believing [it]? [Was it from observing a law of rituals or from a message of faith?]
This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
I only want to learn this from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law or by believing what you heard?
I just want to know this from you: Did you receive the Spirit by doing the works of the Law or by believing what you heard?
I want to know from you just this one thing: did you receive the Spirit by legalistic observance of Torah commands or by trusting in what you heard and being faithful to it?
I want to know only one thing. How were you given God's Spirit? Was it by obeying the Law of Moses or by hearing about Christ and having faith in him?
This only I wish to learn of you, Have ye received the Spirit on the principle of works of law, or of [the] report of faith?
I want to learn only this from you: did you receive the Spirit by works of the Law or by the hearing of  faith?
This only would I learn of you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
Tell me this one thing: How did you receive the Spirit? Did you receive the Spirit by following the law? No, you received the Spirit because you heard the message about Jesus and believed it.
So think about this: When you received God's Spirit, was it because you had obeyed the rules of God's Law? No! You received God's Spirit because you heard the message about Christ and you believed it.
I just want to learn this from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by believing what you heard?
Let me ask you only this: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law or by hearing with faith?
Let me ask you only this: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law or by hearing with faith?
Tell me this one thing: How did you receive the Holy Spirit? Did you receive the Spirit by ·following [L the works of] the law? ·No, you received the Spirit [L …or] ·because you heard the Good News and believed it [by believing what you heard].
This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the Law, or by the hearing of faith preached?
I want to learn only one thing from you. Did you receive the Spirit by your own efforts to follow the laws in the Scriptures or by believing what you heard?
Tell me this one thing: did you receive God's Spirit by doing what the Law requires or by hearing the gospel and believing it?
I only want to learn this from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law or by hearing with faith?
Tell me this one thing: How did you receive the Holy Spirit? Did you receive the Spirit by following the law? No! You received the Spirit because you heard the Good News and believed it.
I want to learn only one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by doing the actions of the Law or by believing what you heard?
O you dear idiots of Galatia, who saw Jesus Christ the crucified so plainly, who has been casting a spell over you? I will ask you one simple question: did you receive the Spirit of God by trying to keep the Law or by believing the message of the Gospel? Surely you can’t be so idiotic as to think that a man begins his spiritual life in the Spirit and then completes it by reverting to outward observances? Has all your painful experience brought you nowhere? I simply cannot believe it of you! Does God, who gives you his Spirit and works miracles among you, do these things because you have obeyed the Law or because you have believed the Gospel? Ask yourselves that.
This only would I learn of you, Did ye receive the Spirit by the works of the law or by the obedient ear of faith?
This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
This is the only thing I want to learn from you: did you receive the Spirit by the works of the Law, or by hearing with faith?
I want only to learn this from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
Let me ask you this one question: Did you receive the Holy Spirit by trying to keep the Jewish laws? Of course not, for the Holy Spirit came upon you only after you heard about Christ and trusted him to save you.
Let me put this question to you: How did your new life begin? Was it by working your heads off to please God? Or was it by responding to God’s Message to you? Are you going to continue this craziness? For only crazy people would think they could complete by their own efforts what was begun by God. If you weren’t smart enough or strong enough to begin it, how do you suppose you could perfect it? Did you go through this whole painful learning process for nothing? It is not yet a total loss, but it certainly will be if you keep this up!
I want to learn only this from you: Did you receive the Spirit through the works of the law, or by hearing with faith?
Only this I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law or by hearing with faith?
I want to learn only one thing from you. Did you receive the Spirit by your own efforts to follow the laws in the Scriptures or by believing what you heard?
I want to learn only this from you: did you receive the Spirit from works of the law, or from faith in what you heard?
This is the only thing I want to find out from you: did you receive the Spirit by works of the Law, or by hearing with faith?
This is the only thing I want to find out from you: did you receive the Spirit by the works of the Law, or by hearing with faith?
I only wish you to tell me this: Did you receive the Spirit by observing the Law or by believing what you heard?
Tell me this one thing: How did you receive the Holy Spirit? Did you receive the Spirit by following the law? No, you received the Spirit because you heard the Good News and believed it.
The only thing I want to learn from you is this: Did you receive the Spirit by doing the works of the law or by believing what you heard?
I would like to learn just one thing from you. Did you receive the Holy Spirit by obeying the law? Or did you receive the Spirit by believing what you heard?
I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by believing what you heard?
I would like to learn just one thing from you: did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by believing what you heard?
This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
There is one thing I want to know. Did you receive the Holy Spirit by keeping the Law? Or did you receive Him by hearing about Christ?
Let me ask you this one question: Did you receive the Holy Spirit by obeying the law of Moses? Of course not! You received the Spirit because you believed the message you heard about Christ.
This only would I learn from you: did you receive the Spirit by the deeds of the law, or by the preaching of the faith?
The only thing I want to learn from you is this: Did you receive the Spirit by doing the works of the law or by believing what you heard?
The only thing I want to learn from you is this: Did you receive the Spirit by doing the works of the law or by believing what you heard?
The only thing I want to learn from you is this: Did you receive the Spirit by doing the works of the law or by believing what you heard?
The only thing I want to learn from you is this: Did you receive the Spirit by doing the works of the law or by believing what you heard?
There’s just one thing I want to know from you. Did you receive the spirit by doing the works of Torah, or by hearing and believing?
This one thing only I want to learn from you: did you receive the Ruach HaKodesh by means of chukim of the Torah (laws of Torah) or by means of the hearing of emunah?
This only would I learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the Law or by the hearing of faith?
Let me ask you only this: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law, or by hearing with faith?
Let me ask you only this: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law, or by hearing with faith?
I want to find out just one thing from you: did you receive the Ruach by deeds based on Torah, or by hearing based on trust?
Tell me this: Did the Holy Spirit come upon you because you lived according to the law? Or was it because you heard His message of grace through faith?
I just want to learn this from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith?
Here is one thing I want to ask you. You received the Holy Spirit. Was that because you obeyed the law [given to the Jews by Moses]? No, it was because you heard God's word and believed it.
This only I desire to learn of you, whether ye have received the Spirit of the works of the law, or of hearing of belief?
this only do I wish to learn from you -- by works of law the Spirit did ye receive, or by the hearing of faith?
