Ephesians 4:12

for the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry, and for the edifying of the body of Christ,
for the perfecting of the saints, unto the work of ministering, unto the building up of the body of Christ:
[and He did this] to fully equip and perfect the saints (God’s people) for works of service, to build up the body of Christ [the church];
His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ’s body (the church),
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
to equip the saints for the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ,
His purpose was to equip God’s people for the work of serving and building up the body of Christ
Their task is to equip God’s people for the work of service that builds the body of the Messiah,
so his people would learn to serve and his body would grow strong.
for the perfecting of the saints; with a view to [the] work of [the] ministry, with a view to the edifying of the body of Christ;
for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the building-up of the body of Christ
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Christ gave these gifts to prepare God’s holy people for the work of serving, to make the body of Christ stronger.
He gave all these gifts to help God's people to serve him in different ways. As a result, the church, which is like Christ's body, would become strong.
for the purpose of training the saints for the work of serving, in order to build up the body of Christ.
to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ,
to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ,
·Christ gave those gifts to prepare [L …to equip] God’s holy people for the work of serving, to make the body of Christ stronger.
For the repairing of the Saints, for the work of the ministry, and for the edification of the body of Christ,
Their purpose is to prepare God’s people to serve and to build up the body of Christ.
He did this to prepare all God's people for the work of Christian service, in order to build up the body of Christ.
for the training of the saints in the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ,
Christ gave those gifts to prepare God’s holy people for the work of serving. He gave those gifts to make the body of Christ stronger.
to equip the saints, to do the work of ministry, and to build up the body of the Messiah
His “gifts to men” were varied. Some he made his messengers, some prophets, some preachers of the Gospel; to some he gave the power to guide and teach his people. His gifts were made that Christians might be properly equipped for their service, that the whole body might be built up until the time comes when, in the unity of the common faith and common knowledge of the Son of God, we arrive at real maturity—that measure of development which is meant by the “fullness of Christ”.
for the perfecting of the saints in the work of the ministry, unto the edifying of the body of the Christ
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ,
for the equipping of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for building up the body of Christ,
Why is it that he gives us these special abilities to do certain things best? It is that God’s people will be equipped to do better work for him, building up the Church, the body of Christ, to a position of strength and maturity;
But that doesn’t mean you should all look and speak and act the same. Out of the generosity of Christ, each of us is given his own gift. The text for this is, He climbed the high mountain, He captured the enemy and seized the plunder, He handed it all out in gifts to the people. Is it not true that the One who climbed up also climbed down, down to the valley of earth? And the One who climbed down is the One who climbed back up, up to highest heaven. He handed out gifts above and below, filled heaven with his gifts, filled earth with his gifts. He handed out gifts of apostle, prophet, evangelist, and pastor-teacher to train Christ’s followers in skilled servant work, working within Christ’s body, the church, until we’re all moving rhythmically and easily with each other, efficient and graceful in response to God’s Son, fully mature adults, fully developed within and without, fully alive like Christ.
