And the servant of the Lord must not engender strife, but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
And the Lord’s servant must not strive, but be gentle towards all, apt to teach, forbearing,
The servant of the Lord must not participate in quarrels, but must be kind to everyone [even-tempered, preserving peace, and he must be], skilled in teaching, patient and tolerant when wronged.
And the servant of the Lord must not be quarrelsome (fighting and contending). Instead, he must be kindly to everyone and mild-tempered [preserving the bond of peace]; he must be a skilled and suitable teacher, patient and forbearing and willing to suffer wrong.
And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
The Lord’s servant must not quarrel, but must be gentle to everyone, able to teach, and patient,
God’s slave shouldn’t be argumentative but should be kind toward all people, able to teach, patient,
and a slave of the Lord shouldn’t fight. On the contrary, he should be kind to everyone, a good teacher, and not resentful when mistreated.
and God's servants must not be troublemakers. They must be kind to everyone, and they must be good teachers and very patient.
And a bondman of [the] Lord ought not to contend, but be gentle towards all; apt to teach; forbearing;
And a slave of the Lord must not battle, but must be kind to everyone, skillful-at-teaching, forbearing,
But the servant of the Lord must not wrangle: but be mild towards all men, apt to teach, patient,
As a servant of the Lord, you must not argue. You must be kind to everyone. You must be a good teacher, and you must be patient.
As the Lord's servant, you must not quarrel. Instead, you must be kind to everyone. You must be able to teach them well. And you must be patient when people cause you to have trouble.
It is necessary that a servant of the Lord not quarrel but be kind toward everyone, able to teach, able to bear evil without resentment,
And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil,
And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil,
And a ·servant [slave; bondservant] of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, a ·good [qualified; able] teacher, and patient.
But the servant of the Lord must not strive, but must be gentle toward all men, apt to teach, suffering the evil,
A servant of the Lord must not quarrel. Instead, he must be kind to everyone. He must be a good teacher. He must be willing to suffer wrong.
As the Lord's servant, you must not quarrel. You must be kind toward all, a good and patient teacher,
The Lord’s slave must not quarrel, but must be gentle to everyone, able to teach, and patient,
And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel! He must be kind to everyone. He must be a good teacher. He must be patient.
A servant of the Lord must not argue. Instead, he must be kind to everyone, teachable, willing to suffer wrong,
And the Lord’s servant must not be a man of strife: he must be kind to all, ready and able to teach: he must have patience and the ability gently to correct those who oppose his message. He must always bear in mind the possibility that God will give them a different outlook, and that they may come to know the truth. They may come to their senses and be rescued from the power of the devil by the servant of the Lord and set to work for God’s purposes.
That the slave of the Lord should not be contentious, but be meek unto everyone, apt to teach, patient,
And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
And the Lord’s slave must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged,
And the slave of the Lord must not quarrel, but be kind toward everyone, skillful in teaching, tolerant,
God’s people must not be quarrelsome; they must be gentle, patient teachers of those who are wrong.
Run away from childish indulgence. Run after mature righteousness—faith, love, peace—joining those who are in honest and serious prayer before God. Refuse to get involved in inane discussions; they always end up in fights. God’s servant must not be argumentative, but a gentle listener and a teacher who keeps cool, working firmly but patiently with those who refuse to obey. You never know how or when God might sober them up with a change of heart and a turning to the truth, enabling them to escape the Devil’s trap, where they are caught and held captive, forced to run his errands.
The servant of the Lord must not quarrel, but must be gentle toward all people, able to teach, patient,
But it is necessary that a servant of the Lord not be quarrelsome but be gentle to all, skilled in teaching, patient even in the midst of evil,
A servant of the Lord must not quarrel. Instead, he must be kind to everyone. He must be a good teacher. He must be willing to suffer wrong.
A slave of the Lord should not quarrel, but should be gentle with everyone, able to teach, tolerant,
The Lord’s bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, skillful in teaching, patient when wronged,
The Lord’s bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged,
A servant of the Lord should not engage in quarrels but should be kind to everyone. He should be a good teacher and patient,
And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, a good teacher, and patient.
And the Lord’s slave must not engage in heated disputes but be kind toward all, an apt teacher, patient,
Anyone who serves the Lord must not be hard to get along with. Instead, they must be kind to everyone. They must be able to teach. The one who serves must not hold anything against anyone.
And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful.
And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful.
And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient,
A servant owned by God must not make trouble. He must be kind to everyone. He must be able to teach. He must be willing to suffer when hurt for doing good.
A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people.
But the servant of the Lord must not quarrel, but must be peaceable towards all, able to teach, and one that can be patient with the evil,
And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kindly to everyone, an apt teacher, patient,
And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kindly to everyone, an apt teacher, patient,
And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kindly to everyone, an apt teacher, patient,
And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kindly to everyone, an apt teacher, patient,
and the Lord’s servant mustn’t be a fighter, but must be gentle to all people, able to teach, able to bear evil without resentment,
And an eved Hashem ought not be a Ba’al Machlokes (quarrelsome person), but ought to be eidel (gentle, courteous) to all, a skilled rabbinic moreh, savlan (patient),
The servant of the Lord must not strive, but must be gentle toward all, able to teach, forbearing;
And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kindly to every one, an apt teacher, forbearing,
And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kindly to every one, an apt teacher, forbearing,
The Lord’s slave must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, tolerant.
As the Lord’s slave, you shouldn’t exhaust yourself in bickering; instead, be gentle—no matter who you are dealing with—ready and able to teach, tolerant without resentment,
The Lord’s servant must not quarrel, but be gentle toward all, able to teach, patient,
The Lord's servant must not fight. But he must be kind to all people. He must be a good teacher to them. He must be patient with them.
But it behooveth the servant of the Lord to chide not [to not chide]; but to be mild to all men, able to teach, patient,
and a servant of the Lord it behoveth not to strive, but to be gentle unto all, apt to teach, patient under evil,
