BAAL-SHALISHAH (Shalisha) bā əl shăl’ ə shə (בַּ֣עַל שָׁלִ֗שָׁה). The home of the unnamed man who brought to Elisha twenty loaves of barley and ears of grain by which 100 were fed (2 Kings 4:42). Such was the miracle at this time that some food remained after all had eaten. It is prob. located at modern Kefr Thilth, twenty m. E of Qalqīliyeh in central Pal. There is some evidence that this was an extremely fertile area.
