Rezon [Rē'zŏn]—princeliness or noble. A son of Eliadah and a subject of Hadadezer, king of Zobah. Although one of the king’s military officers, he fled to Damascus, where he founded a kingdom and became a thorn in Solomon’s side. His successors were bitter adversaries of Israel (1 Kings 11:23).
