Version
Psalm 146

The Lord an Abundant Helper.

146 [a]Praise [b]the Lord!
(A)Praise the Lord, O my soul!
I will praise the Lord (B)while I live;
I will (C)sing praises to my God while I have my being.
(D)Do not trust in princes,
In [c]mortal (E)man, in whom there is (F)no salvation.
His (G)spirit departs, he (H)returns to [d]the earth;
In that very day his (I)thoughts perish.
How (J)blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob,
Whose (K)hope is in the Lord his God,
Who (L)made heaven and earth,
The (M)sea and all that is in them;
Who (N)keeps [e]faith forever;
Who (O)executes justice for the oppressed;
Who (P)gives food to the hungry.
The Lord (Q)sets the prisoners free.

The Lord (R)opens the eyes of the blind;
The Lord (S)raises up those who are bowed down;
The Lord (T)loves the righteous;
The Lord [f](U)protects the [g]strangers;
He [h](V)supports the fatherless and the widow,
But He [i]thwarts (W)the way of the wicked.
10 The Lord will (X)reign forever,
Your God, O Zion, to all generations.
[j]Praise [k]the Lord!

Numbers 36

Inheritance by Marriage

36 (A)And the heads of the fathers’ households of the family of the sons of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of the sons of Joseph, came near and spoke before Moses and before the leaders, the heads of the fathers’ households of the sons of Israel, and they said, “The Lord commanded my lord to give the land by lot to the sons of Israel as an inheritance, and my lord (B)was commanded by the Lord to give the inheritance of Zelophehad our brother to his daughters. But if they [a]marry one of the sons of the other tribes of the sons of Israel, their inheritance will be withdrawn from the inheritance of our fathers and will be added to the inheritance of the tribe to which they belong; thus it will be withdrawn from our allotted inheritance. When the (C)jubilee of the sons of Israel [b]comes, then their inheritance will be added to the inheritance of the tribe to which they belong; so their inheritance will be withdrawn from the inheritance of the tribe of our fathers.”

Then Moses commanded the sons of Israel according to the [c]word of the Lord, saying, “The tribe of the sons of Joseph are right in their statements. (D)This is [d]what the Lord has commanded concerning the daughters of Zelophehad, saying, ‘Let them marry [e]whom they wish; only they must marry within the family of the tribe of their father.’ Thus (E)no inheritance of the sons of Israel shall [f]be transferred from tribe to tribe, for the sons of Israel shall each [g]hold to the inheritance of the tribe of his fathers. (F)Every daughter who comes into possession of an inheritance of any tribe of the sons of Israel shall be wife to one of the family of the tribe of her father, so that the sons of Israel each may possess the inheritance of his fathers. Thus no inheritance shall [h]be transferred from one tribe to another tribe, for the tribes of the sons of Israel shall each [i]hold to his own inheritance.”

10 Just as the Lord had commanded Moses, so the daughters of Zelophehad did: 11 (G)Mahlah, Tirzah, Hoglah, Milcah and Noah, the daughters of Zelophehad married their uncles’ sons. 12 They married those from the families of the sons of Manasseh the son of Joseph, and their inheritance [j]remained with the tribe of the family of their father.

13 (H)These are the commandments and the ordinances which the Lord commanded to the sons of Israel through Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan opposite Jericho.

Romans 5:6-11

For while we were still (A)helpless, (B)at the right time (C)Christ died for the ungodly. For one will hardly die for a righteous man; [a]though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. But God (D)demonstrates (E)His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, (F)Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified [b](G)by His blood, we shall be saved (H)from the wrath of God through Him. 10 For if while we were (I)enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved [c](J)by His life. 11 (K)And not only this, [d]but we also exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received (L)the reconciliation.
