1 Kings 15

15 And Abijam reigned over Judah in the eighteenth year of King Jeroboam, the son of Nebat.

He reigned for three years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Maachah, the daughter of Abishalom.

And he walked in all the sins of his father, which he had done before him. And his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.

But for David’s sake, the LORD his God gave him a light in Jerusalem, and set up his son after him, and established Jerusalem,

because David did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, and turned from nothing that He Commanded him, all the days of his life, except only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.

And there was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam as long as he lived.

Also, the rest of the acts of Abijam and all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah? There was also war between Abijam and Jeroboam.

And Abijam slept with his fathers. And they buried him in the City of David. And Asa, his son, reigned in his place.

And during the twenty years of Jeroboam, king of Israel, Asa reigned over Judah.

10 He reigned in Jerusalem for forty-one years. And his mother’s name was Maachah, the daughter of Abishalom.

11 And Asa did right in the Eyes of the LORD, as did David his father.

12 And he took away the Sodomites from the land and put away all the idols that his fathers had made.

13 And he also put down Maachah, his mother, from her estate, because she had made an idol in a grove. And Asa destroyed her idols and burnt them by the brook Kidron.

14 But they did not pull down the high places. Nevertheless, Asa’s heart was upright with the LORD, all his days.

15 Also, he brought in the holy vessels of his father, and the things that he had dedicated to the House of the LORD, silver and gold and vessels.

16 And there was war between Asa and Baasha, king of Israel, all their days.

17 Then Baasha, king of Israel, went up against Judah and built Ramah, so that he could let no one go out or in to Asa, king of Judah.

18 Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that was left in the treasures of the House of the LORD, and the treasures of the king’s house, and delivered them into the hands of his servants. And King Asa sent them to Ben-Hadad, the son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, king of Aram, who dwelt in Damascus, saying,

19 “A covenant between me and you, and between my father and your father! Behold, I have sent a present of silver and gold to you. Come. Break your covenant with Baasha, king of Israel, so that he may depart from me.”

20 So, Ben-Hadad listened to King Asa and sent the captains of the armies which he had against the cities of Israel and struck Ijon and Dan and Abel Beth Maachah and all Chinneroth, along with all the land of Naphtali.

21 And when Baasha heard of it, he stopped building Ramah and dwelt in Tirzah.

22 Then, King Asa assembled all Judah. No exceptions. And they took the stones of Ramah and its timber, with which Baasha had built. And King Asa built Geba of Benjamin and Mizpah with them.

23 And the rest of all the acts of Asa, and all his might, and all that he did, and the cities which he built, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah? But in his old age, he was diseased in his feet.

24 And Asa slept with his fathers and was buried with his fathers in the City of David, his father. And Jehoshaphat, his son, reigned in his place.

25 And Nadab, the son of Jeroboam, began to reign over Israel in the second year of Asa, king of Judah, and reigned over Israel for two years.

26 And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, walking in the way of his father, and in his sin with which he made Israel sin.

27 And Baasha, the son of Ahijah, of the House of Issachar, conspired against him. And Baasha killed him at Gibbethon (which belonged to the Philistines). For Nadab and all Israel laid siege to Gibbethon.

28 In the third year of Asa, king of Judah, Baasha killed him and reigned in his place.

29 And when he was king, he struck all the House of Jeroboam. He left no one alive for Jeroboam until he had destroyed him according to the Word of the LORD which he spoke by his servant, Ahijah the Shilonite,

30 because of the sins of Jeroboam which he committed, and with which he made Israel sin by his provocation with which he provoked the LORD God of Israel.

31 And the rest of the acts of Nadab, and all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?

32 And there was war between Asa and Baasha, king of Israel, all their days.

33 In the third year of Asa, king of Judah, Baasha the son of Ahijah began to reign over all Israel in Tirzah and reigned for twenty-four years.

34 And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, walking in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin with which he made Israel sin.

Colossians 2

For I desire that you knew what great struggle I have for you, and for those of Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;

that their hearts might be encouraged, having been joined together in love and in all the riches of the full assurance of understanding to know the mystery of God and the Father and of Christ,

in Whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

And this I say so that no one should deceive you with persuasive words.

For though I am absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in spirit, rejoicing and seeing your order and your steadfast faith in Christ.

Therefore, as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him;

being rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith as you have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

Beware, lest anyone spoil you through philosophy and empty deceit according to the traditions of man, according to the principles of the world and not according to Christ.

For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead, bodily.

10 And you are complete in Him Who is the Head of all principality and power.

11 In Him also are you circumcised, with circumcision made without hands, by putting off the sinful body of the flesh through the circumcision of Christ,

12 buried with Him in baptism (in which you are also risen with Him through the faith of the working of God, Who raised Him from the dead).

13 And you, who were dead in sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, forgiving all trespasses

14 and blotting out the handwriting of the ordinances against us which opposed us. He has taken it out of the way and fastened it upon the cross.

15 And having disarmed the rulers and authorities, and having made a show of them openly, He has triumphed over them in it.

16 Therefore, let no one judge you as regards food and drink, or regarding a holy day or the new moon or the Sabbath,

17 which are a shadow of things to come. But the body is of Christ.

18 Let no one, at his pleasure, bear rule over you by his humbleness of mind and his worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he has never seen, being rashly puffed up with his fleshly mind

19 and not taking hold of the Head (from Whom all the body, supplied and knit together by joints and bonds, grows with a growth that is from God).

20 Therefore, if you have died with Christ from the principles of the world, why then (as though you lived in the world) do you submit to ordinances such as:

21 “Touch not! Taste not! Handle not!”,

22 which all perish with use and are according to the commandments and doctrines of man?

23 These things indeed have an appearance of wisdom and of voluntary religion and humbleness of mind and of not sparing the body but are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh.

Ezekiel 45

45 “Moreover, when you shall divide the land for inheritance, you shall offer an oblation to the LORD, a holy portion of the land, twenty-five thousand reeds long and ten thousand wide. This shall be holy within all its borders, all around.

“Of this, there shall be for the Sanctuary five hundred in length and five hundred in width, all square all around, and fifty cubits all around for its suburbs.

“And of this measure shall you measure: the length of twenty-five thousand and the width of ten thousand. And in it shall be the Sanctuary, the Most Holy Place.

“The holy portion of the land shall be the Priest’s, who ministers in the Sanctuary, who comes near to serve the LORD. And it shall be a place for their housing and a holy place for the Sanctuary.

“And within the twenty-five thousand of length and the ten thousand of width shall the Levites who minister in the House have their possessions for twenty chambers.

“Also, you shall appoint five thousand wide and twenty-five thousand long as a possession of the city, alongside the oblation of the holy portion. It shall be for the whole House of Israel.

“And a portion shall be for the prince on one side, and for the oblation of the holy portion on the other side, and for the possession of the city, before the oblation of the holy portion, and before the possession of the city, from the West corner Westward and from the East corner Eastward. And the length shall be the same as one of the portions from the West border to the East border.

“In this land shall be his possession in Israel. And My princes shall no longer oppress My people. And the rest of the land shall they give to the House of Israel, according to their tribes.”

‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “Let it suffice you, O princes of Israel. Cease all cruelty and oppression and execute judgment and justice. Take away your violence from My people,” says the Lord GOD.

10 “You shall have just balances and a true ephah and a true bath.

11 “The ephah and the bath shall be equal. A bath shall contain a tenth of an homer, and an ephah a tenth of an homer. Its equality shall be after the homer.

12 “And the shekel shall be twenty gerahs. Twenty shekels and twenty-five shekels and fifteen shekels shall be your mina.

13 “This is the oblation that you shall offer: a sixth of an ephah of an homer of wheat. And you shall give a sixth of an ephah of an homer of barley.

14 “Concerning the Ordinance of the oil, of the bath of oil: you shall offer a tenth of a bath out of the cor (ten baths are an homer, for ten baths fill an homer)

15 “and one lamb of two hundred sheep, out of the fat pastures of Israel, for a Meat Offering and for a Burnt Offering and for Peace Offerings, to make reconciliation for them,” says the Lord GOD.

16 “All the people of the land shall give this oblation for the prince in Israel.

17 “And it shall be the prince’s part to give Burnt Offerings and Meat Offerings and Drink Offerings on the solemn Feasts and on the new moons and on the Sabbaths, on all the High Feasts of the House of Israel. He shall prepare the Sin Offering and the Meat Offering and the Burnt Offering and the Peace Offerings, to make reconciliation for the House of Israel.”

18 ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “In the first month, on the first day of the month, you shall take a young bullock, without blemish, and cleanse the Sanctuary.

19 “And the Priest shall take from the blood of the Sin Offering and put it upon the posts of the House and upon the four corners of the frame of the Altar and upon the posts of the gate of the inner court.

20 “And so shall you do on the seventh day of the month, for everyone who has erred, and for him who is deceived. So shall you reconcile the House.

21 “In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, you shall have the Passover, a Feast of seven days. You shall eat unleavened bread.

22 And upon that day shall the prince prepare, for himself and for all the people of the land, a bullock for a Sin Offering.

23 And on the seven days of the Feast, he shall make a Burnt Offering to the LORD of seven bullocks and seven rams, and also a male goat for a Sin Offering, each without blemish, for seven days.

24 “And he shall prepare a Meat Offering of an ephah for a bullock, an ephah for a ram, and a hin of oil for an ephah.

25 “In the seventh month, on the fifteenth day of the month, he shall do the same during the feast, for seven days, according to the Sin Offering, according to the Burnt Offering, and according to the Meat Offering, and according to the oil.

Psalm 99-101

99 The LORD reigns! Let the people tremble. He sits between the Cherubims. Let the Earth be moved!

The LORD is great in Zion; and He is high above all the people.

They shall praise Your great and fearful Name (It is Holy).

Also, the King’s power loves judgment. You establish equity. You have executed judgment and justice in Jacob.

Exalt the LORD our God and bow down before His footstool. He is Holy.

Moses and Aaron were among His Priests, and Samuel among such as call upon His Name. These called upon the LORD and He heard them.

He spoke to them in the cloudy pillar. They kept His testimonies, the Law which He gave them.

You heard them, O LORD our God. You were a favorable God to them, though You took vengeance for their evil deeds.

Exalt the LORD our God and bow down before His Holy Mountain; for the LORD our God is Holy. A Psalm of praise

100 Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the Earth!

Serve the LORD with gladness. Come before Him with joyfulness!

Know that the LORD is God. He has made us, and not we ourselves. We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, into His courts with rejoicing. Give Him thanks. Praise Him; and bless His Name.

For the LORD is good. His mercy is everlasting; and His truth is from generation to generation. A Psalm of David

101 I will sing mercy and judgment. To You, O LORD, I will sing!

I will do wisely in the perfect way, till You come to me. I will walk in the uprightness of my heart in the midst of my house.

I will set no wicked thing before my eyes. I hate the work of those who fall away. It shall not cling to me.

A perverse heart shall depart from me. I will know no evil.

He who secretly slanders his neighbor, I will destroy. He who has a proud look and high heart, I cannot allow.

My eyes shall be to the faithful of the land, so that they may dwell with me. He who walks in a perfect way, he shall serve me.

No deceitful person shall dwell within my house. He who tells lies shall not remain in my sight.

Early will I destroy all the wicked of the land, so that I may cut off all the workers of iniquity from the City of the LORD. A prayer of the afflicted, when he shall be in distress and pour forth his meditation before the LORD
