Deuteronomy 10

10 5 The second Tables put in the Ark. 8 The tribe of Levi is dedicated to the service of the Tabernacle. 12 What the Lord requireth of his. 16 The circumcision of the heart. 17 God regardeth not the person. 21The Lord is the praise of Israel.

In the same time the Lord said unto me, (A)Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first, and come up unto me into the mount, and make thee an Ark of wood,

And I will write upon the tables, the words that were upon the first Tables, which thou breakest, and thou shalt put them in the Ark.

And I made an Ark of [a]Shittim wood, and hewed two tables of stone like unto the first, and went up into the mountain, and the two Tables in mine hand.

Then he wrote upon the Tables according to the first writing, (the ten commandments, which the Lord spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire, in the day of the [b]assembly) and the Lord gave them unto me.

And I departed and came down from the Mount, and put the Tables in the Ark which I had made: and there they be, as the Lord commanded me.

¶ And the children of Israel took their journey from Beeroth of the children of Jaakan, to [c]Moserah, where Aaron died, and was buried, and Eleazar his son became Priest in his stead.

¶ From thence they departed unto Gudgodah, and from Gudgodah to Jotbathah, a land of running waters.

¶ The same time the Lord separated the tribe of Levi to bear the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord, and to stand before the Lord, to [d]minister unto him, and to bless in his Name unto this day.

Wherefore Levi hath no part nor inheritance with his brethren: for the Lord is his [e]inheritance, as the Lord thy God hath promised him.

10 And I tarried in the mount, as at the first time, forty days and forty nights, and the Lord heard me at that time also, and the Lord would not destroy thee.

11 But the Lord said unto me, Arise, go forth in the journey before the people, that they may go in and possess the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give unto them.

12 ¶ And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God [f]require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul?

13 That thou keep the commandments of the Lord and his ordinances, which I command thee this day, for thy wealth?

14 Behold, heaven, and the heaven of heavens is the Lord’s thy God, and the (B)earth, with all that therein is.

15 [g]Notwithstanding, the Lord set his delight in thy fathers to love them, and did choose their seed after them, even you above all people, as appeareth this day.

16 [h]Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and harden your necks no more.

17 For the Lord your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, mighty and terrible, which accepteth no (C)persons, nor taketh reward:

18 Who doeth right unto the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, giving him food and raiment.

19 Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

20 (D)Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God: thou shalt serve him, and thou shalt cleave unto him, and [i]shalt swear by his Name.

21 He is thy praise, and he is thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen.

22 Thy fathers went down into Egypt (E)with seventy persons, and now the Lord thy God hath made thee, as the (F)stars of the heaven in multitude.

Psalm 94

94 1 He prayeth unto God against the violence and arrogance of tyrants, 10 warning them of God’s judgments. 12 Then doth he comfort the afflicted by the good issue of their afflictions, as he felt in himself, and did set in others, and by the ruin of the wicked, 23 whom the Lord will destroy.

O Lord God [a]the avenger, O God the avenger, show thyself [b]clearly.

Exalt thyself, O Judge of the world, and render a reward to the proud.

Lord, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked [c]triumph?

They prate and speak fiercely: all the workers of iniquity vaunt themselves.

They [d]smite down thy people, O Lord, and trouble thine heritage.

They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.

[e]Yet they say, The Lord shall not see: neither will the God of Jacob regard it.

Understand, ye unwise among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise?

He that [f]planted the ear, shall he not hear? or he that formed the eye, shall he not see?

10 Or he that chastiseth the [g]nations, shall he not correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall he not know?

11 The Lord knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.

12 Blessed is the man whom thou [h]chastisest, O Lord, and teachest him in thy Law,

13 That thou mayest give him rest from the days of evil, while the pit is dug for the wicked.

14 Surely the Lord will not fail his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

15 For [i]judgment shall return to justice, and all the upright in heart shall follow after it.

16 Who will rise up with me against the wicked? or who will take my part against the workers of iniquity?

17 If the Lord had not [j]helped me, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.

18 When I said, [k]My foot slideth, thy mercy, O Lord, stayed me.

19 In the multitude of my [l]thoughts in mine heart, thy comforts have rejoiced my soul.

20 Hath the throne of iniquity [m]fellowship with thee, which forgeth wrong for a Law?

21 They gather them together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

22 But the Lord is my refuge, and my God is the rock of mine hope.

23 And he will recompense them their wickedness, and [n]destroy them in their own malice, yea, the Lord our God shall destroy them.

Isaiah 38

38 1 Hezekiah is sick. 5 He is restored to health by the Lord, and liveth fifteen years after. 10 He giveth thanks for his benefit.

About (A)that [a]time was Hezekiah sick unto the death, and the Prophet Isaiah son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Put thine house in an order, for thou shalt die, and not live.

Then Hezekiah [b]turned his face to the wall, and prayed to the Lord,

And said, I beseech thee, Lord, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth, and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight: and Hezekiah wept sore.

¶ Then came the word of the Lord to Isaiah, saying,

Go, and say unto Hezekiah, Thus saith the Lord God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, and seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.

And I will deliver thee [c]out of the hand of the king of Assyria, and this city: for I will defend this city.

And [d]this sign shalt thou have of the Lord, that the Lord will do this thing that he hath spoken,

Behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees (whereby it is gone down in the dial of Ahaz by the [e]sun) ten degrees backward: so the sun returned by ten degrees, by the which degrees it was gone down.

[f]The writing of Hezekiah king of Judah, when he had been sick, and was recovered of his sickness.

10 I said in the [g]cutting off of my days, I shall go to the gates of the grave: I am deprived of the residue of my years.

11 I said, [h]I shall not see the Lord, even the Lord in the land of the living: I shall see man no more among the inhabitants of the world.

12 Mine habitation is departed, and is removed from me, like a shepherd’s tent: I [i]have cut off like a weaver my life: he will cut me off from the height: from day [j]to night, thou wilt make an end of me.

13 I reckoned [k]to the morning: but he brake all my bones like a lion, from day to night wilt thou make an end of me.

14 Like a crane or a swallow, so did I [l]chatter: I did mourn as a dove: mine eyes were lifted up on high: O Lord, [m]it hath oppressed me, comfort me.

15 What shall I say, [n]for he hath said it to me, and he hath done it: I shall walk [o]weakly all my years in the bitterness of my soul.

16 O Lord, [p]to them that overlive them, and to all that are in them, the life of my spirit shall be known, that thou causest me to [q]sleep and hast given life to me.

17 Behold, for [r]felicity I had bitter grief, but it was thy pleasure to deliver my soul from the pit of corruption: for thou hast cast all my [s]sins behind thy back.

18 For [t]the grave cannot confess thee: death cannot praise thee: they that go down into the pit, cannot hope for thy truth.

19 But the living, the living, he shall confess thee, as I do this day: the father to the [u]children shall declare thy truth.

20 The Lord was ready to save me: therefore we will sing my song, all the days of [v]our life in the house of the Lord.

21 Then said Isaiah, Take a lump of dry figs and [w]lay it upon the boil, and he shall recover.

22 Also Hezekiah [x]had said, What is the sign, that I shall go up into the house of the Lord?

Revelation 8

1 After the opening of the seventh seal, 3 the Saints’ prayers are offered up with odors. 6 The seven Angels come forth with trumpets. 7 The four first blow, and fire falleth on the earth, 8 the sea is turned into blood, 10, 11 the waters wax bitter. 12 and the stars are darkened.

[a]And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about half an hour.

[b]And I saw the seven Angels, which [c]stood before God, and to them were given seven trumpets.

[d]Then another Angel came and stood before the Altar, having a golden censer, and much odors was given unto him, that he should offer with the prayers of all Saints upon the golden Altar, which is before the throne.

And the smoke of the odors with the prayers of the Saints, [e]went up before God, out of the Angel’s hand.

And the Angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the Altar, and cast it into the earth, and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and earthquake.

[f]Then the seven Angels, which had the seven trumpets, prepared themselves to blow the trumpets.

[g]So the first Angel blew the trumpet, and there was hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast into the earth, and the third part of trees was burnt, and all green grass was burnt.

[h]And the second Angel blew the trumpet, and as it were a great mountain, burning with fire, was cast into the sea, and the third part of the sea became blood.

And the third part of the creatures, which were in the sea, and had life, died, and the third part of ships were destroyed.

10 [i]Then the third Angel blew the trumpet, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell into the third part of the rivers, and into the fountains of waters.

11 And the name of the star is called [j]wormwood: therefore the third part of the waters became wormwood, and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

12 [k]And the fourth Angel blew the trumpet, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars, so that the third part of them was darkened: and the day was smitten, that the third part of it could not shine, and likewise the night.

13 [l]And I beheld, and heard one Angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth, because of the sounds to come of the trumpet of the three Angels, which were yet to blow the trumpets.
