26 “And it shall be, when thou art come in unto the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and possessest it and dwellest therein,
2 that thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit of the earth, which thou shalt bring from thy land that the Lord thy God giveth thee, and shalt put it in a basket and shalt go unto the place which the Lord thy God shall choose to place His name there.
3 And thou shalt go unto the priest who shall be in those days, and say unto him, ‘I profess this day unto the Lord thy God, that I have come unto the country which the Lord swore unto our fathers to give us.’
4 And the priest shall take the basket out of thine hand, and set it down before the altar of the Lord thy God.
5 “And thou shalt speak and say before the Lord thy God: ‘A Syrian ready to perish was my father; and he went down into Egypt and sojourned there with a few, and became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous.
6 And the Egyptians evilly treated us and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard bondage.
7 And when we cried unto the Lord God of our fathers, the Lord heard our voice, and looked on our affliction and our labor and our oppression.
8 And the Lord brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great fearsomeness, and with signs and with wonders;
9 and He hath brought us into this place and hath given us this land, even a land that floweth with milk and honey.
10 And now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land which Thou, O Lord, hast given me.’ And thou shalt set it before the Lord thy God, and worship before the Lord thy God;
11 and thou shalt rejoice in every good thing which the Lord thy God hath given unto thee and unto thine house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger who is among you.
12 “When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates and be filled,
13 then thou shalt say before the Lord thy God: ‘I have brought away the hallowed things out of mine house, and also have given them unto the Levite and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all Thy commandments which Thou hast commanded me. I have not transgressed Thy commandments, neither have I forgotten them.
14 I have not eaten thereof in my mourning, neither have I taken away aught thereof for any unclean use, nor given aught thereof for the dead; but I have hearkened to the voice of the Lord my God and have done according to all that Thou hast commanded me.
15 Look down from Thy holy habitation, from heaven, and bless Thy people Israel and the land which Thou hast given us as Thou swore unto our fathers, a land that floweth with milk and honey.’
16 “This day the Lord thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgments; thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart and with all thy soul.
17 Thou hast avouched the Lord this day to be thy God, and to walk in His ways, and to keep His statutes and His commandments and His judgments, and to hearken unto His voice.
18 And the Lord hath avouched thee this day to be His peculiar people, as He hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all His commandments,
19 and to make thee high above all nations which He hath made in praise and in name and in honor, and that thou mayest be a holy people unto the Lord thy God, as He hath spoken.”
117 O praise the Lord, all ye nations! Praise Him, all ye people!
2 For His merciful kindness is great toward us, and the truth of the Lord endureth for ever. Praise ye the Lord!
118 O give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good, for His mercy endureth for ever!
2 Let Israel now say that His mercy endureth for ever.
3 Let the house of Aaron now say that His mercy endureth for ever.
4 Let them that fear the Lord now say that His mercy endureth for ever.
5 I called upon the Lord in distress; the Lord answered me, and set me in an ample place.
6 The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do unto me?
7 The Lord taketh my part among them that help me; therefore shall I see what I desire upon them that hate me.
8 It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.
9 It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes.
10 All the nations compassed me about, but in the name of the Lord will I destroy them.
11 They compassed me about, yea, they compassed me about; but in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.
12 They compassed me about like bees, they are quenched as the fire of thorns; for in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.
13 Thou hast thrust sorely at me that I might fall, but the Lord helped me.
14 The Lord is my strength and song, and has become my salvation.
15 The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous; the right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly.
16 The right hand of the Lord is exalted; the right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly.
17 I shall not die, but live and declare the works of the Lord.
18 The Lord hath chastened me sorely, but He hath not given me over unto death.
19 Open to me the gates of righteousness; I will go into them, and I will praise the Lord”
20 this gate of the Lord, into which the righteous shall enter.
21 I will praise Thee, for Thou hast heard me and art become my salvation.
22 The stone which the builders refused has become the head stone of the corner.
23 This is the Lord’S doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.
24 This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
25 Save now, I beseech Thee, O Lord; O Lord, I beseech Thee, send now prosperity.
26 Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord! We have blessed you from the house of the Lord.
27 God is the Lord, who hath shown us light; bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.
28 Thou art my God, and I will praise Thee; Thou art my God, I will exalt Thee.
29 O give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy endureth for ever!
53 Who hath believed our report? And to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?
2 For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground. He hath no form nor comeliness, and when we shall see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him.
3 He is despised and rejected of men, a Man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief. And we hid as it were our faces from Him; He was despised, and we esteemed Him not.
4 Surely He hath borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, yet He opened not his mouth; He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter; and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so He openeth not His mouth.
8 He was taken from prison and from judgment; and who shall declare His generation? For He was cut off out of the land of the living; for the transgression of My people was He stricken.
9 And He made His grave with the wicked, and with the rich in His death, because He had done no violence, neither was any deceit in His mouth.
10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He hath put Him to grief. When thou shalt make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand.
11 He shall see of the travail of His soul, and shall be satisfied. By His knowledge shall My righteous Servant justify many, for He shall bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore will I divide Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong, because He hath poured out His soul unto death. And He was numbered with the transgressors; and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

2 Abraham begot Isaac, and Isaac begot Jacob, and Jacob begot Judah and his brethren.
3 And Judah begot Perez and Zerah by Tamar, and Perez begot Hezron, and Hezron begot Aram,
4 and Aram begot Aminadab, and Aminadab begot Nahshon, and Nahshon begot Salmon,
5 and Salmon begot Boaz by Rahab, and Boaz begot Obed by Ruth, and Obed begot Jesse,
6 and Jesse begot David the king. And David the king begot Solomon by her that had been the wife of Uriah,
7 and Solomon begot Rehoboam, and Rehoboam begot Abijah, and Abijah begot Asa,
8 and Asa begot Jehoshaphat, and Jehoshaphat begot Joram, and Joram begot Uzziah,
9 and Uzziah begot Jotham, and Jotham begot Ahaz, and Ahaz begot Hezekiah,
10 and Hezekiah begot Manasseh, and Manasseh begot Amon, and Amon begot Josiah,
11 and Josiah begot Jechonias and his brethren, about the time they were carried away to Babylon.
12 And after they were brought to Babylon, Jechonias begot Salathiel, and Salathiel begot Zerubbabel,
13 and Zerubbabel begot Abiud, and Abiud begot Eliakim, and Eliakim begot Azor,
14 and Azor begot Zadok, and Zadok begot Achim, and Achim begot Eliud,
15 and Eliud begot Eleazar, and Eleazar begot Matthan, and Matthan begot Jacob,
16 and Jacob begot Joseph, the husband of Mary of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations, and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations, and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.
18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was in this way: When His mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
19 And Joseph her husband, being a just man and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily.
20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
21 And she shall bring forth a Son, and thou shalt call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins.”
22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
23 “Behold, a virgin shall be with child and shall bring forth a Son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel” (which being interpreted is, “God with us”).
24 Then Joseph, being raised from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife,
25 and knew her not until she had brought forth her firstborn Son. And he called His name Jesus.
