JERUSALEM : Water supply brought in from the Gihon brook by Hezekiah (2 Kings 18:17;20:20; 2 Chronicles 32:3,4,30; Nehemiah 2:13-15; Isaiah)
MARAH : The first station of the Israelites, where Moses made the bitter waters sweet (Exodus 15:22-25; Numbers 33:8,9)
NIMRIM : Waters on the borders of the tribe of Gad and the country of Moab (Isaiah 15:6; Jeremiah 48:34)
PETER : Present at Lake Tiberias when Jesus appeared to his disciples; jumps into the water, and comes to shore when Jesus is recognized; is commissioned to feed the flock of Christ ( John 21:1-23)
PURIFICATION : Washing hands in water, symbolical of innocency (Deuteronomy 21:6; Psalms 26:6; Matthew 27:24)
