The Baptism of Jesus
Now it happened that in those days Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan.

And He was in the wilderness forty days being tempted by Satan; and He was with the wild beasts, and the angels were ministering to Him.

Jesus Heals a Paralytic
And when He had come back to Capernaum several days afterward, it was heard that He was at home.

But the days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast in that day.

Lord of the Sabbath
And it happened that He was passing through the grainfields on the Sabbath, and His disciples began to make their way along while picking the heads of grain.

Consequently the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.”

and he sleeps and rises, night and day, and the seed sprouts and grows—how, he himself does not know.

Jesus Calms a Storm
And on that day, when evening came, He *said to them, “Let us go over to the other side.”

And constantly, night and day, among the tombs and in the mountains, he was crying out and gashing himself with stones.

And He did not let him, but He *said to him, “Go home to your people and report to them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He had mercy on you.”

And a strategic day came when Herod on his birthday gave a banquet for his great men and military commanders and the leading men of Galilee;

But she answered and *said to Him, “Yes, Lord, but even the dogs under the table feed on the children’s crumbs.”

Jesus Feeds Four Thousand
In those days, when there was again a large crowd and they had nothing to eat, Jesus called His disciples and *said to them,
-
“I feel compassion for the crowd because they have remained with Me now three days and have nothing to eat.
-
And He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.
-
And six days later, Jesus *took with Him Peter and James and John, and *brought them up on a high mountain alone by themselves. And He was transfigured before them;
-
For He was teaching His disciples and telling them, “The Son of Man is to be delivered into the hands of men, and they will kill Him; and when He has been killed, He will rise again three days later.”
-
And they will mock Him and spit on Him, and flog Him and kill Him, and three days later He will rise again.”

And calling them to Himself, Jesus *said to them, “You know that those who are recognized as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them; and their great men exercise authority over them.
-
And if anyone says to you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ you say, ‘The Lord has need of it’; and immediately he will send it back here.”

And those who went in front and those who followed were shouting: “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord;

The Barren Fig Tree
And on the next day, when they had left Bethany, He became hungry.

This came about from the Lord, And it is marvelous in our eyes’?”
