Warnings and Instructions

The wicked flee when no one is pursuing, But the righteous are bold as a lion.

Like a roaring lion and a rushing bear Is a wicked ruler over a poor people.

The lion, which is mighty among animals And does not retreat from anything,

For whoever is joined to all the living, there is hope; for better a live dog, than a dead lion.

Come with me from Lebanon, my bride, You shall come with me from Lebanon. You shall come down from the summit of Amana, From the summit of Senir and Hermon, From the dens of lions, From the mountains of leopards.

Behold, one will come up like a lion from the thicket of the Jordan to a perennially watered pasture; for in an instant I will chase him away from it, and I will appoint over it whoever is chosen. “Israel is a scattered flock, the lions have driven them away. The first one who devoured him was the king of Assyria, and this last one who has gnawed his bones is Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon.

They will roar together like young lions, They will growl like lions’ cubs.

He is to me like a bear lying in wait, Like a lion in secret places.
