Proverbs 30:4-9
New King James Version
4 (A)Who has ascended into heaven, or descended?
(B)Who has gathered the wind in His fists?
Who has bound the waters in a garment?
Who has established all the ends of the earth?
What is His name, and what is His Son’s name,
If you know?
5 (C)Every word of God is [a]pure;
(D)He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.
6 (E)Do not add to His words,
Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar.
7 Two things I request of You
(Deprive me not before I die):
8 Remove falsehood and lies far from me;
Give me neither poverty nor riches—
(F)Feed me with the food allotted to me;
9 (G)Lest I be full and deny You,
And say, “Who is the Lord?”
Or lest I be poor and steal,
And profane the name of my God.

New International Version
4 Who has gone up(A) to heaven and come down?
Whose hands(B) have gathered up the wind?
Who has wrapped up the waters(C) in a cloak?(D)
Who has established all the ends of the earth?
What is his name,(E) and what is the name of his son?
Surely you know!
5 “Every word of God is flawless;(F)
he is a shield(G) to those who take refuge in him.
6 Do not add(H) to his words,
or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar.
7 “Two things I ask of you, Lord;
do not refuse me before I die:
8 Keep falsehood and lies far from me;
give me neither poverty nor riches,
but give me only my daily bread.(I)
9 Otherwise, I may have too much and disown(J) you
and say, ‘Who is the Lord?’(K)
Or I may become poor and steal,
and so dishonor the name of my God.(L)
