Job 33:15-18

New International Version

¹⁵ In a dream,^(A) in a vision^(B) of the night,^(C)
    when deep sleep^(D) falls on people
    as they slumber in their beds,
¹⁶ he may speak^(E) in their ears
    and terrify them^(F) with warnings,^(G)
17 to turn them from wrongdoing
    and keep them from pride,^(H)
18 to preserve them from the pit,^(I)
    their lives from perishing by the sword.^[a](J)
