Isaiah 37:17-19

New International Version

¹⁷ Give ear, Lord, and hear;^(A) open your eyes, Lord, and see;^(B) listen to all the words Sennacherib^(C) has sent to ridicule^(D) the living God.^(E)

¹⁸ “It is true, Lord, that the Assyrian kings have laid waste all these peoples and their lands.^{(F) 19} They have thrown their gods into the fire^(G) and destroyed them,^(H) for they were not gods^(I) but only wood and stone, fashioned by human hands.^(J)
