Zechariah 12:11

¹¹On that day the mourning in Jerusalem will be as great as the mourning over Hadadrimmon in the plain of Megiddo.^[a]

Zechariah 12:11 Probably a reference to the disaster that caused the death of Josiah, the reformer, near Megiddo (2 Ki 23:29). Others think the reference is to the celebration of a Canaanite rite in honor of the god Hadad-rimmon.

¹¹On that day the weeping^(A) in Jerusalem will be as great as the weeping of Hadad Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo.^(B)

¹¹In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.
