8 Montaré guardia junto a mi casa
para que nadie entre ni salga.
¡Nunca más un opresor invadirá a mi pueblo,
porque ahora me mantengo vigilante!

9 ¡Alégrate mucho, hija de Sión!
¡Grita de alegría, hija de Jerusalén!
Mira, tu rey viene hacia ti,
justo, Salvador y humilde.
Viene montado en un asno,
en un pollino, cría de asna.
10 Destruirá los carros de Efraín
y los caballos de Jerusalén.
Quebrará el arco de combate
y proclamará paz a las naciones.
Su dominio se extenderá de mar a mar,
¡desde el río Éufrates
hasta los confines de la tierra!

8 (A)I will camp around My house
Because of the army,
Because of him who passes by and him who returns.
No more shall an oppressor pass through them,
For now I have seen with My eyes.

9 “Rejoice (C)greatly, O daughter of Zion!
Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem!
Behold, (D)your King is coming to you;
He is just and having salvation,
Lowly and riding on a donkey,
A colt, the foal of a donkey.
10 I (E)will cut off the chariot from Ephraim
And the horse from Jerusalem;
The (F)battle bow shall be cut off.
He shall speak peace to the nations;
His dominion shall be (G)‘from sea to sea,
And from the River to the ends of the earth.’

8 Then (A)I will encamp at my house as a guard,
(B)so that none shall march to and fro;
(C)no oppressor shall again march over them,
(D)for now I see with my own eyes.
The Coming King of Zion
9 (E)Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion!
Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem!
(F)Behold, (G)your king is coming to you;
righteous and having salvation is he,
(H)humble and mounted on a donkey,
on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
10 (I)I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim
and (J)the war horse from Jerusalem;
and the battle bow shall be cut off,
and (K)he shall speak peace to the nations;
(L)his rule shall be from sea to sea,
and from (M)the River[a] to the ends of the earth.
