Ya Mukulu wa Bayimbi. Zabbuli ya Dawudi gye yayimbira Mukama bwe yamuwonya abalabe be ne Sawulo.
18 Nkwagala Ayi Mukama kubanga ggwe maanyi gange.
2 (A)Mukama lwe lwazi lwange, ky’ekigo kyange ekigumu era ye mununuzi wange,
ye Katonda wange era lwe lwazi lwange mwe neekweka;
ye ngabo yange era ye mulokozi wange ow’amaanyi, era kye kigo kyange ekinywevu.
3 (B)Nkoowoola Mukama asaana okutenderezebwa,
era amponya eri abalabe bange.
4 (C)Emiguwa gy’okufa gyanneetooloola;
embuyaga ez’okusaanawo zansaanikira.
5 (D)Ebisiba eby’amagombe byanneetooloola;
n’emitego gy’okufa ne ginjolekera.
6 (E)Mu nnaku yange nakoowoola Mukama;
ne nkaabirira Katonda wange annyambe.
Yawulira eddoboozi lyange ng’ali mu yeekaalu ye;
omulanga gwange ne gutuuka mu matu ge.
7 (F)Emisingi gy’ensi ne gikankana ne giyuuguuma;
ensozi ne zinyeenyezebwa ne ziseeseetuka,
kubanga yali asunguwadde.
8 (G)Omukka ne gunyooka nga guva mu nnyindo ze.
Omuliro ne guva mu kamwa ke,
ne gukoleeza amanda ne gabuubuuka.
9 (H)Yayabuluza eggulu n’akka wansi;
ebire ebikutte nga biri wansi w’ebigere bye.
10 (I)Yeebagala kerubi n’abuuka,[a]
n’aseeyeeyeza ku biwaawaatiro by’empewo.
11 (J)Yafuula ekizikiza ekyamwetooloolanga
okuba enkuufiira ey’ebire ebijjudde amazzi.
12 (K)Okumasamasa okwali mu maaso ge ne kuva mu bire bye,
n’okumyansa kw’eggulu n’omuzira.
13 (L)Mukama yabwatuka ng’asinziira mu ggulu; oyo Ali Waggulu Ennyo yayogera;
mu kamwa ke ne muvaamu omuzira n’okumyansa kw’eggulu.
14 (M)Yalasa obusaale bwe n’asaasaanya abalabe;
n’okumyansa okw’eggulu n’abawangula.
15 (N)Ebiwonvu eby’omu nnyanja ne bibikkulwa
n’emisingi gy’ensi ne gyeyerula
olw’okunenya kwo Ayi Mukama
n’olw’okubwatuka kw’omukka ogw’omu nnyindo zo.
16 (O)Mukama yagolola omukono gwe ng’ali waggulu,
n’ankwata n’annyinyulula mu mazzi amangi.
17 (P)Yamponya abalabe bange ab’amaanyi,
abankyawa, abo abaali bansinza amaanyi.
18 (Q)Bannumba nga ndi mu buzibu,
naye Mukama n’annyamba.
19 (R)N’antwala mu kifo ekigazi n’amponya,
kubanga yansanyukira nnyo.
20 (S)Mukama ankoledde ng’obutuukirivu bwange bwe buli,
ansasudde ng’ebikolwa byange ebirungi bwe biri.
21 (T)Kubanga ntambulidde mu makubo ga Mukama,
ne sikola kibi eri Katonda wange.
22 (U)Ddala ddala amateeka ga Mukama gonna ngagondedde,
era ne siva ku biragiro bye.
23 Sisobyanga mu maaso ge
era nneekuuma obutayonoona.
24 (V)Noolwekyo, Mukama ansasudde ng’obutuukirivu bwange bwe buli,
era ng’ebikolwa byange ebirungi bwe biri by’alaba.
25 (W)Eri omwesigwa weeraga ng’oli mwesigwa,
n’eri atalina musango weeraga nga tolina musango.
26 (X)Eri abalongoofu weeraga ng’oli mulongoofu,
n’eri abakyamu weeraga ng’obasinza amagezi.
27 (Y)Owonya abawombeefu,
naye abeegulumiza obakkakkanya.
28 (Z)Okoleezezza ettaala yange;
Ayi Mukama Katonda wange, ekizikiza kyange okimulisizza.
29 (AA)Bwe mbeera naawe nsobola okulumba abalabe bange;
nga ndi ne Katonda wange nsobola okuwalampa bbugwe.
30 (AB)Katonda byonna by’akola bigolokofu;
Mukama ky’asuubiza akituukiriza;
era bwe buddukiro
bw’abo bonna abamwekwekamu.
31 (AC)Kale, ani Katonda, wabula Mukama?
Era ani Lwazi, wabula Katonda waffe?
32 (AD)Oyo ye Katonda ampa amaanyi era aluŋŋamya ekkubo lyange.
33 (AE)Ebigere byange abinyweza ng’eby’empeewo,
n’ansobozesa okuyimirira ku ntikko z’ensozi.
34 (AF)Anjigiriza okulwana entalo,
ne nsobola n’okuleega omutego ogw’obusaale ogw’ekikomo.
35 (AG)Ompadde obulokozi bwo okuba engabo yange;
era ompaniridde n’omukono gwo ogwa ddyo;
weetoowazizza n’ongulumiza.
36 Ongaziyirizza ekkubo ebigere byange we biyita,
obukongovvule bwange ne butanuuka.
37 (AH)Nagoba abalabe bange embiro,
ne mbakwata ne sidda mabega okutuusa nga mbazikirizza.
38 (AI)Nababetenta ne batasobola na kugolokoka,
ne mbalinnyako ebigere byange.
39 Ompadde amaanyi ag’okulwana;
abalabe bange ne banvuunamira.
40 (AJ)Okyusizza abalabe bange ne bankuba amabega ne badduka,
ne ndyoka nsanyaawo abo bonna abankyawa.
41 (AK)Baalaajana naye tewaali yabawonya;
ne bakaabirira Mukama, naye n’atabaddamu.
42 Ne mbamerengula ng’enfuufu empewo gy’efuumuula;
ne mbasammula eri ng’ebisooto by’omu luguudo.
43 (AL)Omponyezza obulumbaganyi bw’abantu;
n’onfuula omufuzi w’amawanga.
Abantu be nnali simanyi ne bafuuka abaweereza bange.
44 (AM)Olumpulira ne baŋŋondera,
bannamawanga ne bajugumira mu maaso gange.
45 (AN)Bannamawanga baggwaamu omutima
ne bava mu bigo byabwe nga bakankana.
46 (AO)Mukama mulamu! Atenderezebwe, Olwazi lwange;
era agulumizibwe Katonda w’obulokozi bwange.
47 (AP)Ye Katonda, asasula ku lwange abankola obubi
era akakkanya amawanga ne ngafuga.
Amponyeza abalabe bange.
48 (AQ)Ayi Mukama, ongulumizizza okusinga abalabe bange,
n’onkuuma abakambwe ne batankwatako.
49 (AR)Noolwekyo, Ayi Mukama, nnaakutenderezanga mu mawanga,
era nnaayimbanga nga ntendereza erinnya lyo.
50 (AS)Awa kabaka obuwanguzi obw’amaanyi,
amulaga ebyekisa emirembe gyonna oyo gwe yafukako amafuta,
eri Dawudi n’eri ezzadde lye.

18 I will love thee, O Lord, my strength.
2 The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
3 I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
4 The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.
5 The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.
6 In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.
7 Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth.
8 There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.
9 He bowed the heavens also, and came down: and darkness was under his feet.
10 And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind.
11 He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies.
12 At the brightness that was before him his thick clouds passed, hail stones and coals of fire.
13 The Lord also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hail stones and coals of fire.
14 Yea, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and discomfited them.
15 Then the channels of waters were seen, and the foundations of the world were discovered at thy rebuke, O Lord, at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.
16 He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters.
17 He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me.
18 They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the Lord was my stay.
19 He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me.
20 The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.
21 For I have kept the ways of the Lord, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
22 For all his judgments were before me, and I did not put away his statutes from me.
23 I was also upright before him, and I kept myself from mine iniquity.
24 Therefore hath the Lord recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.
25 With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright;
26 With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself froward.
27 For thou wilt save the afflicted people; but wilt bring down high looks.
28 For thou wilt light my candle: the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness.
29 For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall.
30 As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.
31 For who is God save the Lord? or who is a rock save our God?
32 It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.
33 He maketh my feet like hinds' feet, and setteth me upon my high places.
34 He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.
35 Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great.
36 Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, that my feet did not slip.
37 I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them: neither did I turn again till they were consumed.
38 I have wounded them that they were not able to rise: they are fallen under my feet.
39 For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle: thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me.
40 Thou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies; that I might destroy them that hate me.
41 They cried, but there was none to save them: even unto the Lord, but he answered them not.
42 Then did I beat them small as the dust before the wind: I did cast them out as the dirt in the streets.
43 Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; and thou hast made me the head of the heathen: a people whom I have not known shall serve me.
44 As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me.
45 The strangers shall fade away, and be afraid out of their close places.
46 The Lord liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted.
47 It is God that avengeth me, and subdueth the people under me.
48 He delivereth me from mine enemies: yea, thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.
49 Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O Lord, among the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name.
50 Great deliverance giveth he to his king; and sheweth mercy to his anointed, to David, and to his seed for evermore.

The Lord Is My Rock and My Fortress
To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David, (A)the servant of the Lord, (B)who addressed the words of this (C)song to the Lord on the day when the Lord delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul. He said:
18 I love you, O Lord, my strength.
2 The Lord is my (D)rock and my (E)fortress and my deliverer,
my God, my (F)rock, in (G)whom I take refuge,
my (H)shield, and (I)the horn of my salvation, my (J)stronghold.
3 I call upon the Lord, who is (K)worthy to be praised,
and I am saved from my enemies.
4 (L)The cords of death encompassed me;
(M)the torrents of destruction assailed me;[a]
5 (N)the cords of Sheol entangled me;
the snares of death confronted me.
6 (O)In my distress I called upon the Lord;
to my God I cried for help.
From his (P)temple he heard my voice,
and my cry to him reached his ears.
7 Then the earth (Q)reeled and rocked;
the foundations also of the mountains trembled
and quaked, because he was angry.
8 Smoke went up from his nostrils,[b]
and devouring (R)fire from his mouth;
glowing coals flamed forth from him.

and the foundations of the world were laid bare

at the blast of (AF)the breath of your nostrils.
16 He (AG)sent from on high, he took me;
he (AH)drew me out of (AI)many waters.
17 He rescued me from my strong enemy
and from those who hated me,
for they were (AJ)too mighty for me.
18 They confronted me in the day of my calamity,
but the Lord was my support.
19 He brought me out into (AK)a broad place;
he rescued me, because he (AL)delighted in me.
20 The Lord dealt with me (AM)according to my righteousness;
according to (AN)the cleanness of my hands he rewarded me.
21 For I have (AO)kept the ways of the Lord,
and have not wickedly departed from my God.

and his statutes I did not put away from me.

and I kept myself from my guilt.
24 So the Lord has rewarded me according to my righteousness,
according to the cleanness of my hands in his sight.

with the blameless man you show yourself blameless;
26 with the purified you show yourself pure;
and with (AS)the crooked you make yourself seem tortuous.
27 For you save (AT)a humble people,
but (AU)the haughty eyes you bring down.
28 For it is you who light my (AV)lamp;
the Lord my God lightens my darkness.
29 For by you I can run against a troop,
and by my God I can (AW)leap over (AX)a wall.
30 This God—his way is (AY)perfect;[d]
the word of the Lord (AZ)proves true;
he is (BA)a shield for all those who (BB)take refuge in him.
31 For (BC)who is God, but the Lord?
And who is (BD)a rock, except our God?—
32 the God who (BE)equipped me with strength
and made my way (BF)blameless.
33 He made my feet like the feet of a (BG)deer
and set me secure on (BH)the heights.
34 He (BI)trains my hands for war,
so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.
35 You have given me the shield of your salvation,

36 You (BL)gave a wide place for my steps under me,
and my feet did not slip.
37 I pursued my enemies and overtook them,
and did not turn back till they were consumed.
38 I thrust them through, so that they were not able to rise;

and those who hated me I destroyed.

they cried to the Lord, but he did not answer them.

(BS)people whom I had not known served me.
44 As soon as they heard of me they obeyed me;

45 (BV)Foreigners lost heart
and (BW)came trembling out of their fortresses.
46 The Lord lives, and blessed be my rock,
and exalted be the God of my salvation—
47 the God who gave me vengeance
and (BX)subdued peoples under me,
48 who rescued me from my enemies;
yes, you (BY)exalted me above those who rose against me;
you delivered me from (BZ)the man of violence.
49 (CA)For this I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations,
and (CB)sing to your name.
50 Great (CC)salvation he brings to his king,
and shows steadfast love to his (CD)anointed,
to (CE)David and his offspring forever.
