Den himmelska synen
4 (A) Därefter såg jag, och se: en dörr stod öppen i himlen. Och rösten som jag först hade hört tala till mig som en basun sade: "Kom hit upp, så ska jag visa dig vad som måste ske efter detta."
2 (B) Genast var jag i Anden. Och se, en tron stod i himlen, och någon satt på tronen. 3 Och han som satt där liknade en ädelsten, som jaspis och karneol[a], och runt omkring tronen fanns en regnbåge som liknade smaragd. 4 (C) Runt omkring tronen stod tjugofyra troner, och på tronerna satt tjugofyra äldste klädda i vita kläder och med kronor av guld på huvudet. 5 (D) Och från tronen kom blixtar och dån och åska, och framför tronen brann sju facklor som är Guds sju andar. 6 (E) Framför tronen låg liksom ett hav av glas, som av kristall.
Mitt för tronen och runt omkring den stod fyra varelser som hade fullt med ögon framtill och baktill. 7 (F) Den första varelsen liknade ett lejon, den andra en ung tjur, den tredje hade ett ansikte som en människa och den fjärde liknade en flygande örn. 8 (G) Var och en av de fyra varelserna hade sex vingar och fullt med ögon runt om och på insidan[b]. Dag och natt säger de utan uppehåll:
"Helig, helig, helig
är Herren Gud Allsmäktig,
han som var och som är
och som kommer."
9 Och när varelserna prisar och ärar och tackar honom som sitter på tronen och som lever i evigheters evighet, 10 (H) då faller de tjugofyra äldste ner inför honom som sitter på tronen och tillber honom som lever i evigheters evighet. De lägger ner sina kronor inför tronen och säger:
11 (I) "Värdig är du,
vår Herre och Gud,
att ta emot lov och ära och makt,
för du har skapat allt.
Genom din vilja kom det till
och blev skapat."

The Throne Room of Heaven(A)
4 After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing (B)open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a (C)trumpet speaking with me, saying, “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.”
2 Immediately (D)I was in the Spirit; and behold, (E)a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne. 3 [a]And He who sat there was (F)like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance; (G)and there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald. 4 (H)Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and on the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, (I)clothed in white [b]robes; and they had crowns of gold on their heads. 5 And from the throne proceeded (J)lightnings, [c]thunderings, and voices. (K)Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are (L)the[d] seven Spirits of God.
6 Before the throne there [e]was (M)a sea of glass, like crystal. (N)And in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back. 7 (O)The first living creature was like a lion, the second living creature like a calf, the third living creature had a face like a man, and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle. 8 The four living creatures, each having (P)six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying:
9 Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, (T)who lives forever and ever, 10 (U)the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying:
11 “You(V) are worthy, [g]O Lord,
To receive glory and honor and power;
(W)For You created all things,
And by (X)Your will they [h]exist and were created.”

The Throne in Heaven
4 After this I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice, which I had heard speaking to me (A)like a trumpet, said, (B)“Come up here, and (C)I will show you what must take place after this.” 2 At once (D)I was in the Spirit, and behold, (E)a throne stood in heaven, with one seated on the throne. 3 And he who sat there had the appearance of (F)jasper and carnelian, and around the throne was (G)a rainbow that had the appearance of an emerald. 4 Around the throne were (H)twenty-four thrones, and seated on the thrones were twenty-four elders, (I)clothed in white garments, with (J)golden crowns on their heads. 5 From the throne came (K)flashes of lightning, and rumblings[a] and peals of thunder, and before the throne were burning (L)seven torches of fire, (M)which are the seven spirits of God, 6 and before the throne there was (N)as it were a sea of glass, like crystal.
And around the throne, on each side of the throne, are (O)four living creatures, (P)full of eyes in front and behind: 7 (Q)the first living creature like a lion, the second living creature like an ox, the third living creature with the face of a man, and the fourth living creature like an eagle in flight. 8 And the four living creatures, (R)each of them with six wings, are (S)full of eyes all around and within, and (T)day and night they never cease to say,
9 And whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to him who is seated on the throne, (W)who lives forever and ever, 10 the twenty-four elders (X)fall down before him who is seated on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever. They cast (Y)their crowns before the throne, saying,

And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet(B) said, “Come up here,(C) and I will show you what must take place after this.”(D) 2 At once I was in the Spirit,(E) and there before me was a throne in heaven(F) with someone sitting on it. 3 And the one who sat there had the appearance of jasper(G) and ruby.(H) A rainbow(I) that shone like an emerald(J) encircled the throne. 4 Surrounding the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and seated on them were twenty-four elders.(K) They were dressed in white(L) and had crowns of gold on their heads. 5 From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder.(M) In front of the throne, seven lamps(N) were blazing. These are the seven spirits[a](O) of God. 6 Also in front of the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass,(P) clear as crystal.
In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures,(Q) and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back.(R) 7 The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, the fourth was like a flying eagle.(S) 8 Each of the four living creatures(T) had six wings(U) and was covered with eyes all around,(V) even under its wings. Day and night(W) they never stop saying:
9 Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne(Z) and who lives for ever and ever,(AA) 10 the twenty-four elders(AB) fall down before him(AC) who sits on the throne(AD) and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say:
