1 ¿Por qué te enorgulleces de lo mal que haces, tú, héroe poderoso?
El fiel amor de Dios dura todo el día.
2 Tú, lengua traicionera,
siempre estás planeando cómo destruir a alguien,
practicas la mentira como quien afila la navaja.
3 Prefieres el mal al bien,
mentir a decir la verdad. Selah
4 A ti y a tu lengua venenosa
les encanta hacerle daño a la gente.
5 Por eso Dios te destruirá para siempre;
te agarrará y te expulsará de tu vivienda;
te arrancará la vida. Selah
6 Al ver eso, los justos respetarán a Dios;
pero se burlarán de aquel, diciendo:
7 «Miren, ese es el guerrero
que no buscó la protección de Dios,
sino que confió en sus riquezas
y se afianzó en su maldad».
8 Pero yo soy como un árbol de olivo frondoso del templo de Dios.
Siempre confío y confiaré en el fiel amor de Dios.
9 Dios mío, sin cesar te daré gracias por todo lo que has hecho;
siempre proclamaré tu nombre[a] ante tu pueblo fiel porque eres bueno.

The End of the Wicked and the Peace of the Godly
To the Chief Musician. A [a]Contemplation of David (A)when Doeg the Edomite went and (B)told Saul, and said to him, “David has gone to the house of Ahimelech.”
52 Why do you boast in evil, O mighty man?
The goodness of God endures continually.
2 Your tongue devises destruction,
Like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.
3 You love evil more than good,
Lying rather than speaking righteousness. Selah
4 You love all devouring words,
You deceitful tongue.
5 God shall likewise destroy you forever;
He shall take you away, and pluck you out of your dwelling place,
And uproot you from the land of the living. Selah
6 The righteous also shall see and fear,
And shall laugh at him, saying,
7 “Here is the man who did not make God his strength,
But trusted in the abundance of his riches,
And strengthened himself in his [b]wickedness.”
8 But I am (C)like a green olive tree in the house of God;
I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever.
9 I will praise You forever,
Because You have done it;
And in the presence of Your saints
I will wait on Your name, for it [c]is good.

The Steadfast Love of God Endures
To the choirmaster. A Maskil[a] of David, when (A)Doeg, the Edomite, came and told Saul, “David has come to the house of Ahimelech.”
52 Why do you boast of evil, O mighty man?
The steadfast love of God endures all the day.
2 Your (B)tongue plots destruction,
like (C)a sharp razor, you (D)worker of deceit.
3 You love evil more than good,
and (E)lying more than speaking what is right. Selah
4 You love all words that devour,
O deceitful tongue.
5 But God will break you down forever;
he will snatch and (F)tear you from your tent;
he will uproot you from (G)the land of the living. Selah
6 The righteous shall (H)see and fear,
and shall (I)laugh at him, saying,
7 “See the man who would not make
God his refuge,
but (J)trusted in the abundance of his riches
and sought refuge in his own destruction!”[b]
8 But I am like (K)a green olive tree
in the house of God.
I trust in the steadfast love of God
forever and ever.
9 I will thank you forever,
because you have done it.
I will wait for your name, (L)for it is good,
in the presence of the (M)godly.
