1 Dios mío, tú que me defiendes,
respóndeme cuando te llame.
Me libraste cuando estaba en aprietos.
Escucha mi oración y ten compasión de mí.
2 Ustedes que son gente importante[a],
¿hasta cuándo seguirán hablando mal de mí?
Les encantan los chismes
y se la pasan inventando mentiras de mí. Selah
3 Sepan que el SEÑOR escucha a un fiel suyo.
Por eso el SEÑOR me escucha cuando le pido ayuda.
4 Tiemblen y dejen de pecar.
Cuando se vayan a dormir,
piensen acerca de eso que tanto les molesta y guarden silencio. Selah
5 Confíen en el SEÑOR
y como sacrificio, hagan el bien.
6 Mucha gente dice:
«Ojalá pudiéramos tener buena suerte».
Pero nosotros decimos:
«¡SEÑOR, míranos con buenos ojos!»[b]
7 Tú me has hecho sentirme más feliz
que ellos en los momentos de las mejores cosechas.
8 En completa paz me acuesto y me duermo,
porque tú, SEÑOR, me haces vivir tranquilo.

1 Answer me(A) when I call to you,
my righteous God.
Give me relief from my distress;(B)
have mercy(C) on me and hear my prayer.(D)
2 How long will you people turn my glory(E) into shame?(F)
How long will you love delusions and seek false gods[b]?[c](G)
3 Know that the Lord has set apart his faithful servant(H) for himself;
the Lord hears(I) when I call to him.
4 Tremble and[d] do not sin;(J)
when you are on your beds,(K)
search your hearts and be silent.
5 Offer the sacrifices of the righteous
and trust in the Lord.(L)
