Oración pidiendo la ayuda del Señor
(1) Salmo de David, cuando huía de su hijo Absalón.
3 (2) Señor,
muchos son mis enemigos,
muchos son los que se han puesto en contra mía,
2 (3) ¡muchos son los que dicen de mí:
«Dios no va a salvarlo»!
3 (4) Pero tú, Señor,
eres mi escudo protector,
eres mi gloria,
eres quien me reanima.
4 (5) A gritos pido ayuda al Señor
y él me contesta desde su monte santo.
5 (6) Me acuesto y duermo, y vuelvo a despertar,
porque el Señor me da su apoyo.
6 (7) No me asusta ese enorme ejército
que me rodea dispuesto a atacarme.
7 (8) ¡Levántate, Señor!
¡Sálvame, Dios mío!
Tú golpearás en la cara a mis enemigos;
¡les romperás los dientes a los malvados!
8 (9) Tú, Señor, eres quien salva;
¡bendice, pues, a tu pueblo!

1 Lord, how many are my foes!
How many rise up against me!
2 Many are saying of me,
“God will not deliver him.(B)”[b]
3 But you, Lord, are a shield(C) around me,
my glory, the One who lifts my head high.(D)
4 I call out to the Lord,(E)
and he answers me from his holy mountain.(F)
5 I lie down and sleep;(G)
I wake again,(H) because the Lord sustains me.
6 I will not fear(I) though tens of thousands
assail me on every side.(J)
