149 Purihin ang Panginoon!
    Umawit kayo ng bagong awit sa Panginoon.
    Purihin nʼyo siya sa pagtitipon ng kanyang tapat na mga mamamayan.
Magalak ang mga taga-Israel sa kanilang Manlilikha.
    Magalak ang mga taga-Zion sa kanilang Hari.
Magpuri sila sa kanya sa pamamagitan ng pagsasayaw;
    at tumugtog sila ng tamburin at alpa sa pagpupuri sa kanya.
Dahil ang Panginoon ay nalulugod sa kanyang mga mamamayan;
    pinararangalan niya ang mga mapagpakumbaba sa pamamagitan ng pagbibigay sa kanila ng tagumpay.

Magalak ang mga tapat sa Dios dahil sa kanilang tagumpay;
    umawit sila sa tuwa kahit sa kanilang mga higaan.
Sumigaw sila ng pagpupuri sa Dios habang hawak ang matalim na espada,
para maghiganti at magparusa sa mamamayan ng mga bansa,
para ikadena ang kanilang mga hari at mga pinuno,
at parusahan sila ayon sa utos ng Dios.
    Itoʼy para sa kapurihan ng mga tapat na mamamayan ng Dios.

    Purihin ang Panginoon!

Psalm 149

Praise the Lord.[a](A)

Sing to the Lord a new song,(B)
    his praise in the assembly(C) of his faithful people.

Let Israel rejoice(D) in their Maker;(E)
    let the people of Zion be glad in their King.(F)
Let them praise his name with dancing(G)
    and make music to him with timbrel and harp.(H)
For the Lord takes delight(I) in his people;
    he crowns the humble with victory.(J)
Let his faithful people rejoice(K) in this honor
    and sing for joy on their beds.(L)

May the praise of God be in their mouths(M)
    and a double-edged(N) sword in their hands,(O)
to inflict vengeance(P) on the nations
    and punishment(Q) on the peoples,
to bind their kings with fetters,(R)
    their nobles with shackles of iron,(S)
to carry out the sentence written against them—(T)
    this is the glory of all his faithful people.(U)
