Ruth 4:3-6

3 Then he said to the redeemer, “Naomi, who has come back from the country of Moab, is selling the parcel of land that belonged to our relative Elimelech. 4 So I thought I would tell you of it and say, (A)‘Buy it in the presence of those sitting here and in the presence of the elders of my people.’ If you will redeem it, redeem it. But if you[a] will not, tell me, that I may know, for there is no one besides you to redeem it, and I come after you.” And he said, “I will redeem it.” 5 Then Boaz said, “The day you buy the field from the hand of Naomi, you also acquire Ruth[b] the Moabite, the widow of the dead, in order (B)to perpetuate the name of the dead in his inheritance.” 6 (C)Then the redeemer said, “I cannot redeem it for myself, lest I impair my own inheritance. Take my right of redemption yourself, for I cannot redeem it.”

Jeremiah 32:6-9

6 Jeremiah said, “The word of the Lord came to me: 7 Behold, Hanamel the son of Shallum your uncle will come to you and say, (A)‘Buy my field that is at (B)Anathoth, (C)for the right of redemption by purchase is yours.’ 8 Then Hanamel my cousin came to me in (D)the court of the guard, in accordance with the word of the Lord, and said to me, ‘Buy my field that is at (E)Anathoth in the land of Benjamin, for the right of possession and redemption is yours; buy it for yourself.’ Then I knew that this was the word of the Lord.
9 “And I bought the field at (F)Anathoth from Hanamel my cousin, and (G)weighed out the money to him, seventeen shekels of silver.
