God’s Everlasting Love

³¹What then shall we say to these things? ^(A)If God is for us, who can be against us? ³²^(B)He who did not spare His own Son, but ^(C)delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? ³³Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? ^(D)It is God who justifies. ³⁴^(E)Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, ^(F)who is even at the right hand of God, ^(G)who also makes intercession for us. ³⁵Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? ³⁶As it is written:

^(H)“For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”

³⁷^(I)Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. ³⁸For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor ^(J)principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, ³⁹nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Appreciation of the Mystery

¹⁴For this reason I bow my knees to the ^(A)Father ^[a]of our Lord Jesus Christ, ¹⁵from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, ¹⁶that He would grant you, ^(B)according to the riches of His glory, ^(C)to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in ^(D)the inner man, ¹⁷^(E)that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, ^(F)being rooted and grounded in love, ¹⁸^(G)may be able to comprehend with all the saints ^(H)what is the width and length and depth and height— ¹⁹to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled ^(I)with all the fullness of God.

²⁰Now ^(J)to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly ^(K)above all that we ask or think, ^(L)according to the power that works in us, ²¹^(M)to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
