Romans 7:16-18

16 But if I do what I don’t want, I agree that the law is good.[a] 17 But now it is no longer me doing it, but sin that lives in me. 18 For I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh. For I want to do the good, but I cannot do it.[b]

New International Version
16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good.(A) 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me.(B) 18 For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature.[a](C) For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.
