Romans 6:18-20
Holman Christian Standard Bible
18 and having been liberated from sin,(A) you became enslaved to righteousness. 19 I am using a human analogy[a](B) because of the weakness of your flesh.[b] For just as you offered the parts[c] of yourselves as slaves to moral impurity, and to greater and greater lawlessness, so now offer them as slaves to righteousness, which results in sanctification. 20 For when you were slaves of sin, you were free from allegiance to righteousness.[d](C)

Romans 6:18-20
King James Version
18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

20 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.

New International Version
18 You have been set free from sin(A) and have become slaves to righteousness.(B)
19 I am using an example from everyday life(C) because of your human limitations. Just as you used to offer yourselves as slaves to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer yourselves as slaves to righteousness(D) leading to holiness. 20 When you were slaves to sin,(E) you were free from the control of righteousness.(F)
