18 The person who serves Christ with this in mind is pleasing to God and respected by people.
19 So let’s pursue those things which bring peace and which are good for each other. 20 Don’t ruin God’s work because of what you eat. All food is acceptable, but it’s wrong for a person to eat something if it causes someone else to have doubts.

18 because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and receives human approval.(A)
19 Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace(B) and to mutual edification.(C) 20 Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food.(D) All food is clean,(E) but it is wrong for a person to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble.(F)

20 (D)Do not, for the sake of food, destroy the work of God. (E)Everything is indeed clean, but (F)it is wrong for anyone to make another stumble by what he eats.
