¹⁶ So do not give others a reason to speak evil about what you consider good.

¹⁷ For the kingdom of God does not consist of eating and drinking, but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. ¹⁸ Certainly a person who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and has the approval of people.
