Romans 13:7-9

⁷Pay everyone what is owed: taxes to whom taxes are due, revenue to whom revenue is due, respect to whom respect is due, honor to whom honor is due.

Exhortation to Love Neighbors

⁸Owe no one anything, except to love one another, for the one who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law. ⁹For the commandments,^[a] “Do not commit adultery, do not murder, do not steal, do not covet,”^[b] (and if there is any other commandment) are summed up in this, “Love your neighbor as yourself.”^[c]

⁸Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

⁹For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
