¹⁴ But put on the Lord Jesus Christ,^(A) and make no plans to satisfy the fleshly desires.^(B)

³ We too all previously lived among them in our fleshly^(A) desires, carrying out the inclinations^(B) of our flesh and thoughts, and we were by nature children under wrath^(C) as the others were also.

² in order to live the remaining time in the flesh, no longer for human desires,^[a] but for God’s will.^(A)

¹⁸ For by uttering boastful, empty words,^(A) they seduce, with fleshly desires and debauchery, people who have barely escaped^[a] from those who live in error.
