⁶ However, since we have gifts that ^(A)differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to use them properly: if ^(B)prophecy, ^[a]in proportion to one’s faith; ⁷ if ^[b](C)service, in the act of serving; or the one who ^(D)teaches, in the act of teaching; ⁸ or the one who ^[c](E)exhorts, in the work of ^[d]exhortation; the one who gives, with ^[e](F)generosity; ^(G)the one who ^[f]is in leadership, with diligence; the one who shows mercy, with ^(H)cheerfulness.

⁸ For to one is given the word of ^(A)wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of ^(B)knowledge according to the same Spirit; ⁹ to another ^(C)faith ^[a]by the same Spirit, and to another ^(D)gifts of ^[b]healing ^[c]by the one Spirit, ¹⁰ and to another the ^[d]effecting of ^[e](E)miracles, and to another ^(F)prophecy, and to another the ^[f](G)distinguishing of spirits, to another various ^(H)kinds of tongues, and to another the ^(I)interpretation of tongues.

²⁸ And God has ^[a](A)appointed in ^(B)the church, first ^(C)apostles, second ^(D)prophets, third ^(E)teachers, then ^[b](F)miracles, then ^(G)gifts of healings, helps, ^(H)administrations, and various ^(I)kinds of tongues. ²⁹ All are not apostles, are they? All are not prophets, are they? All are not teachers, are they? All are not workers of ^[c]miracles, are they? ³⁰ All do not have gifts of healings, do they? All do not speak with tongues, do they? All do not ^(J)interpret, do they?

⁸ Therefore ^[a]it says,

¹¹ And He ^(A)gave ^(B)some as apostles, some as prophets, some as ^(C)evangelists, some as ^[a]pastors and ^(D)teachers,
