23 dar văd în(A) mădularele mele o altă(B) lege, care se luptă împotriva legii primite de mintea mea şi mă ţine rob legii păcatului, care este în mădularele mele. 24 O, nenorocitul de mine! Cine mă va izbăvi de acest trup de moarte?… 25 Mulţumiri(C) fie aduse lui Dumnezeu, prin Isus Hristos, Domnul nostru!… Astfel dar, cu mintea, eu slujesc Legii lui Dumnezeu; dar cu firea pământească, slujesc legii păcatului.

23 but I see another law at work in me, waging war(A) against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin(B) at work within me. 24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death?(C) 25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!(D)
So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law,(E) but in my sinful nature[a] a slave to the law of sin.(F)
