²² For we know that all creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.

²¹ It will be like a woman suffering the pains of labor. When her child is born, her anguish gives way to joy because she has brought a new baby into the world.

²⁰ Against its will, all creation was subjected to God’s curse. But with eager hope,

²³ But you must continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it. Don’t drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News. The Good News has been preached all over the world, and I, Paul, have been appointed as God’s servant to proclaim it.

² She was pregnant, and she cried out because of her labor pains and the agony of giving birth.
