And he laid hold of the (A)dragon, the serpent of old, who is the devil and Satan, and (B)bound him for a thousand years; and he threw him into the (C)abyss, and shut it and (D)sealed it over him, so that he would (E)not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were finished. After these things he must be released for a short time.

Then I saw (F)thrones, and (G)they sat on them, and (H)judgment was given to them. And I saw (I)the souls of those who had been beheaded because of [a]their (J)witness of Jesus and because of the word of God, and who also had not (K)worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the (L)mark on their forehead and on their hand. And they (M)came to life and (N)reigned with Christ for a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were finished. (O)This is the first resurrection. (P)Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection. Over these the (Q)second death has no authority, but they will be (R)priests of God and of Christ and will (S)reign with Him for a thousand years.

The Defeat of Satan

And when the thousand years are finished, Satan will be (T)released from his prison, and will come out to (U)deceive the nations which are in the (V)four corners of the earth, (W)Gog and Magog, to (X)gather them together for the war; the number of them is like the (Y)sand of the [b]seashore. And they (Z)came up on the [c]broad plain of the earth and surrounded the (AA)camp of the saints and the (AB)beloved city, and (AC)fire came down from heaven and devoured them. 10 And (AD)the devil who (AE)deceived them was thrown into the (AF)lake of fire and [d]brimstone, where the (AG)beast and the (AH)false prophet are also, and they will be (AI)tormented day and night forever and ever.

The Great White Throne Judgment

11 Then I saw a great white (AJ)throne and Him who sits upon it, from whose [e]presence (AK)earth and heaven fled away, and (AL)no place was found for them. 12 Then I saw the dead, the (AM)great and the small, standing before the throne, and [f](AN)books were opened; and another [g]book was opened, which is (AO)the book of life. And the dead (AP)were judged from the things which were written in the [h]books, (AQ)according to their deeds. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and (AR)death and Hades (AS)gave up the dead which were in them, and they were judged, every one of them (AT)according to their deeds. 14 Then (AU)death and Hades were thrown into (AV)the lake of fire. This is the (AW)second death, the lake of fire. 15 And if [i]anyone’s name was not found written in (AX)the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
