The Seventh Bowl of Wrath
17 Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl upon (A)the air, and a (B)loud voice came out of the [a](C)temple from the throne, saying, “(D)It is done.” 18 And there were flashes of (E)lightning and sounds and peals of thunder; and there was (F)a great earthquake, (G)such as there had not been since mankind came to be upon the earth, so great an earthquake was it, and so mighty. 19 (H)The great city [b]was split into three parts, and the cities of the [c]nations fell. (I)Babylon the great was (J)remembered in the sight of God, to give her (K)the cup of the wine of [d]His fierce wrath. 20 And (L)every island fled, and no mountains were found. 21 And (M)huge [e]hailstones, weighing about [f]a talent each, *came down from heaven upon people; and people (N)blasphemed God because of the (O)plague of the hail, because [g]the hailstone plague *was extremely [h]severe.
The Doom of Babylon
17 (P)Then one of the (Q)seven angels who had the (R)seven bowls came and spoke with me, saying, “Come here, I will show you (S)the judgment of the (T)great prostitute who (U)sits on many waters, 2 with whom (V)the kings of the earth committed acts of sexual immorality, and (W)those who live on the earth (X)became drunk with the wine of her sexual immorality.” 3 And (Y)he carried me away [i](Z)in the Spirit (AA)into a wilderness; and I saw a woman sitting on a (AB)scarlet beast, full of (AC)blasphemous names, having (AD)seven heads and ten horns. 4 The woman (AE)was clothed in purple and scarlet, and [j]adorned with gold, precious [k]stones, and pearls, holding in her hand (AF)a gold cup full of abominations and of the unclean things of her sexual immorality, 5 and on her forehead a name was written, [l]a (AG)mystery: “(AH)BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF PROSTITUTES AND OF (AI)THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.” 6 And I saw the woman drunk with (AJ)the blood of the [m]saints, and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus. When I saw her, I wondered [n]greatly.
