After this I looked, and I saw in heaven the temple(A)—that is, the tabernacle of the covenant law(B)—and it was opened.(C) Out of the temple(D) came the seven angels with the seven plagues.(E) They were dressed in clean, shining linen(F) and wore golden sashes around their chests.(G) Then one of the four living creatures(H) gave to the seven angels(I) seven golden bowls filled with the wrath of God, who lives for ever and ever.(J) And the temple was filled with smoke(K) from the glory of God and from his power, and no one could enter the temple(L) until the seven plagues of the seven angels were completed.

The Glory of the Lord

13 The trumpeters and musicians joined in unison to give praise and thanks to the Lord. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals and other instruments, the singers raised their voices in praise to the Lord and sang:

“He is good;
    his love endures forever.”(A)

Then the temple of the Lord was filled with the cloud,(B) 14 and the priests could not perform(C) their service because of the cloud,(D) for the glory(E) of the Lord filled the temple of God.

Isaiah’s Commission

Above him were seraphim,(G) each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet,(H) and with two they were flying. And they were calling to one another:

    the whole earth(K) is full of his glory.”(L)

At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke.(M)
