6 These men have the power to close up the sky so that it does not rain during the days of their prophecy.(A) They also have power over the waters to turn them into blood(B) and to strike the earth with every plague whenever they want.

7 When they finish their testimony, the beast[a](C) that comes up out of the abyss will make war with them, conquer them, and kill them. 8 Their dead bodies[b](D) will lie in the public square[c] of the great city, which prophetically[d] is called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified.

7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

6 They have power to shut up the heavens(A) so that it will not rain during the time they are prophesying;(B) and they have power to turn the waters into blood(C) and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they want.
7 Now when they have finished their testimony, the beast(D) that comes up from the Abyss(E) will attack them,(F) and overpower and kill them. 8 Their bodies will lie in the public square of the great city(G)—which is figuratively called Sodom(H) and Egypt—where also their Lord was crucified.(I)
