Revelation 11:3-12:11
New International Version
3 And I will appoint my two witnesses,(A) and they will prophesy for 1,260 days,(B) clothed in sackcloth.”(C) 4 They are “the two olive trees”(D) and the two lampstands, and “they stand before the Lord of the earth.”[a](E) 5 If anyone tries to harm them, fire comes from their mouths and devours their enemies.(F) This is how anyone who wants to harm them must die.(G) 6 They have power to shut up the heavens(H) so that it will not rain during the time they are prophesying;(I) and they have power to turn the waters into blood(J) and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they want.
7 Now when they have finished their testimony, the beast(K) that comes up from the Abyss(L) will attack them,(M) and overpower and kill them. 8 Their bodies will lie in the public square of the great city(N)—which is figuratively called Sodom(O) and Egypt—where also their Lord was crucified.(P) 9 For three and a half days some from every people, tribe, language and nation(Q) will gaze on their bodies and refuse them burial.(R) 10 The inhabitants of the earth(S) will gloat over them and will celebrate by sending each other gifts,(T) because these two prophets had tormented those who live on the earth.
11 But after the three and a half days(U) the breath[b] of life from God entered them,(V) and they stood on their feet, and terror struck those who saw them. 12 Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.”(W) And they went up to heaven in a cloud,(X) while their enemies looked on.
13 At that very hour there was a severe earthquake(Y) and a tenth of the city collapsed. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the survivors were terrified and gave glory(Z) to the God of heaven.(AA)
14 The second woe has passed; the third woe is coming soon.(AB)
The Seventh Trumpet
15 The seventh angel sounded his trumpet,(AC) and there were loud voices(AD) in heaven, which said:
“The kingdom of the world has become
the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah,(AE)
and he will reign for ever and ever.”(AF)
16 And the twenty-four elders,(AG) who were seated on their thrones before God, fell on their faces(AH) and worshiped God, 17 saying:
“We give thanks(AI) to you, Lord God Almighty,(AJ)
the One who is and who was,(AK)
because you have taken your great power
and have begun to reign.(AL)
18 The nations were angry,(AM)
and your wrath has come.
The time has come for judging the dead,(AN)
and for rewarding your servants the prophets(AO)
and your people who revere your name,
both great and small(AP)—
and for destroying those who destroy the earth.”
19 Then God’s temple(AQ) in heaven was opened, and within his temple was seen the ark of his covenant.(AR) And there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder,(AS) an earthquake and a severe hailstorm.(AT)
The Woman and the Dragon
12 A great sign(AU) appeared in heaven:(AV) a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars(AW) on her head. 2 She was pregnant and cried out in pain(AX) as she was about to give birth. 3 Then another sign appeared in heaven:(AY) an enormous red dragon(AZ) with seven heads(BA) and ten horns(BB) and seven crowns(BC) on its heads. 4 Its tail swept a third(BD) of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth.(BE) The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour her child(BF) the moment he was born. 5 She gave birth to a son, a male child, who “will rule all the nations with an iron scepter.”[c](BG) And her child was snatched up(BH) to God and to his throne. 6 The woman fled into the wilderness to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days.(BI)
7 Then war broke out in heaven. Michael(BJ) and his angels fought against the dragon,(BK) and the dragon and his angels(BL) fought back. 8 But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. 9 The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent(BM) called the devil,(BN) or Satan,(BO) who leads the whole world astray.(BP) He was hurled to the earth,(BQ) and his angels with him.
10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven(BR) say:
“Now have come the salvation(BS) and the power
and the kingdom of our God,
and the authority of his Messiah.
For the accuser of our brothers and sisters,(BT)
who accuses them before our God day and night,
has been hurled down.
11 They triumphed over(BU) him
by the blood of the Lamb(BV)
and by the word of their testimony;(BW)
they did not love their lives so much
as to shrink from death.(BX)

Proverbs 28:1-14
New International Version
2 When a country is rebellious, it has many rulers,
but a ruler with discernment and knowledge maintains order.
3 A ruler[a] who oppresses the poor
is like a driving rain that leaves no crops.
4 Those who forsake instruction praise the wicked,
but those who heed it resist them.
5 Evildoers do not understand what is right,
but those who seek the Lord understand it fully.
6 Better the poor whose walk is blameless
than the rich whose ways are perverse.(D)
7 A discerning son heeds instruction,
but a companion of gluttons disgraces his father.(E)
8 Whoever increases wealth by taking interest(F) or profit from the poor
amasses it for another,(G) who will be kind to the poor.(H)
9 If anyone turns a deaf ear to my instruction,
even their prayers are detestable.(I)
10 Whoever leads the upright along an evil path
will fall into their own trap,(J)
but the blameless will receive a good inheritance.
11 The rich are wise in their own eyes;
one who is poor and discerning sees how deluded they are.
12 When the righteous triumph, there is great elation;(K)
but when the wicked rise to power, people go into hiding.(L)
13 Whoever conceals their sins(M) does not prosper,
but the one who confesses(N) and renounces them finds mercy.(O)
14 Blessed is the one who always trembles before God,
but whoever hardens their heart falls into trouble.
