Psalmul 9
Către mai-marele cântăreţilor.
Se cântă ca şi „Mori pentru fiul”.
Un psalm al lui David
1 Voi lăuda pe Domnul din toată inima mea,
voi istorisi toate minunile Lui.
2 Voi face din Tine bucuria(A) şi veselia mea,
voi cânta Numele tău, Dumnezeule(B) Preaînalt,
3 pentru că vrăjmaşii mei dau înapoi,
se clatină şi pier dinaintea Ta.
4 Căci Tu îmi sprijini dreptatea şi pricina mea
şi stai pe scaunul Tău de domnie ca un judecător drept.
5 Tu pedepseşti neamurile, nimiceşti pe cel rău,
le ştergi(C) numele pentru totdeauna şi pe vecie.
6 S-au dus vrăjmaşii! N-au rămas din ei decât nişte dărâmături veşnice!
Nişte cetăţi dărâmate de Tine! Li s-a şters pomenirea!
7 Ei s-au dus, dar Domnul(D) împărăţeşte în veac
şi Şi-a pregătit scaunul de domnie pentru judecată.
8 El judecă lumea(E) cu dreptate,
judecă popoarele cu nepărtinire.
9 Domnul(F) este scăparea celui asuprit,
scăpare la vreme de necaz.
10 Cei ce cunosc(G) Numele Tău se încred în Tine,
căci Tu nu părăseşti pe cei ce Te caută, Doamne!
11 Cântaţi Domnului, care împărăţeşte în Sion,
vestiţi(H) printre popoare isprăvile Lui!
12 Căci El răzbună(I) sângele vărsat
şi Îşi aduce aminte de cei nenorociţi, nu uită strigătele lor.
13 Ai milă de mine, Doamne!
Vezi ticăloşia în care mă aduc vrăjmaşii mei
şi ridică-mă din porţile morţii,
14 ca să vestesc toate laudele Tale în porţile fiicei Sionului
şi să mă bucur(J) de mântuirea Ta.
15 Neamurile(K) cad în groapa pe care au făcut-o
şi li se prinde piciorul în laţul pe care l-au ascuns.
16 Domnul Se arată(L), face dreptate
şi prinde pe cel rău în lucrul mâinilor lui. (Joc de instrumente(M). Oprire)
17 Cei răi se întorc la Locuinţa morţilor:
toate neamurile(N) care uită pe Dumnezeu.
18 Căci cel nenorocit nu este uitat pe vecie(O),
nădejdea(P) celor sărmani nu piere pe vecie.
19 Scoală-Te, Doamne, ca să nu biruie omul;
neamurile să fie judecate înaintea Ta!
20 Aruncă groaza în ei, Doamne,
ca să ştie popoarele că nu sunt decât oameni!

I Will Recount Your Wonderful Deeds
[a] To the choirmaster: according to Muth-labben.[b] A Psalm of David.
9 I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart;
I will recount all of your (A)wonderful deeds.
2 I will be glad and (B)exult in you;
I will (C)sing praise to your name, (D)O Most High.
3 When my enemies turn back,
they stumble and perish before[c] your presence.
4 For you have (E)maintained my just cause;
you have (F)sat on the throne, giving righteous judgment.
5 You have (G)rebuked the nations; you have made the wicked perish;
you have (H)blotted out their name forever and ever.
6 The enemy came to an end in everlasting ruins;
their cities you rooted out;
the very memory of them has perished.
7 But the Lord sits enthroned forever;
he has established his throne for justice,
8 and he (I)judges the world with righteousness;
he (J)judges the peoples with uprightness.
9 The Lord is (K)a stronghold for (L)the oppressed,
a stronghold in (M)times of trouble.
10 And those who (N)know your name put their trust in you,
for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.
11 Sing praises to the Lord, who (O)sits enthroned in Zion!
Tell among the peoples his (P)deeds!
12 For he who (Q)avenges blood is mindful of them;
he (R)does not forget the cry of the afflicted.
13 (S)Be gracious to me, O Lord!
See my affliction from those who hate me,
O you who lift me up from (T)the gates of death,
14 that I may recount all your praises,
that in the gates of (U)the daughter of Zion
I may (V)rejoice in your salvation.
15 The nations have sunk in (W)the pit that they made;
in (X)the net that they hid, their own foot has been caught.
16 The Lord has made himself (Y)known; he has executed judgment;
the wicked are snared in the work of their own hands. Higgaion.[d] Selah
18 For the needy shall not always be forgotten,
and (AB)the hope of the poor shall not perish forever.
19 (AC)Arise, O Lord! Let not (AD)man prevail;
let the nations be judged before you!
20 Put them in fear, O Lord!
Let the nations know that they are but (AE)men! Selah
